Enjoy Gluten-Free Living with Udi’s

Do you live a gluten-free lifestyle? If not, chances are good that you have family and friends that do. There are many reasons for people to live a gluten-free lifestyle. Only about 10% are medically diagnosed with a condition like celiac disease or gluten intolerance with 37% being self-diagnosed. Other people decide to go gluten-free because it makes them feel better and to be less susceptible to diseases like cancer.

Going down the gluten-free path can be confusing trying to understand what you can and can’t eat.  I have family members that have recently gone gluten-free and I feel for them as they struggle to learn an entire new way of cooking and eating. I have tried a few gluten-free foods that taste like cardboard and would not be something I would buy again! Yuck! I was skeptical when I received a package of Udi’s gluten-free products to review.

UdisGlutenFree

I participated in this program on behalf of Udi’s and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

Udi’s has become the #1 gluten-free brand in America by giving you delicious food that helps you transition to the gluten-free lifestyle seamlessly. Yes, seamlessly.

When I received the Udi’s products to review, I thought that at best, it would be ‘good enough’ for people living gluten-free with no other choice. Boy was I surprised and so was my family. I can honestly say that each and every Udi’s food item we tried was delicious and something I will purchase again in the store!

Gluten-Free Breads and Muffins by Udi’s

Udi’s has a number of different gluten-free breads to choose from. Since all traditional breads contain gluten, it is the first thing many people are on the hunt for when they go gluten-free. I’ve tried others and was not impressed. However, both the Udi’s Omega Flax & Fiber Gluten-Free Bread and the Udi’s Millet Chia Gluten-Free Bread were delicious they taste like specialty bread from the bakery.

With Udi’s, you can have all the sandwiches you want because it is all certified gluten-free. If I can give my kids their favorite PB&J with bananas sandwich without them noticing anything was different about the bread, that is a winner in my book! The breads were soft and moist with great flavors. I really, really enjoyed them toasted for breakfast too.

Speaking of breakfast, Udi’s offers gluten-free muffins, bagels, and cinnamon rolls too.  We were able to try the Double Vanilla Muffins and Harvest Crunch Muffins. Both were yummy! My son said they were so good that they taste like cake. In fact, if you have a child that eats gluten-free, you could easily ice one of muffins for a dessert. It would be perfect for sending to school for a birthday class party for the whole class or just reserved for your child during party days so he doesn’t feel left out.

Again, they were moist and scrumptious – something I didn’t expect from gluten-free muffins.

Gluten-Free Cookies and Brownies

Everyone deserves a delicious dessert now and then. Udi’s has you covered with a variety of cookies and brownie bites your family will devour – I know mine did!  Udi’s Dark Chocolate Gluten-Free Brownie Bites are amazing and so addicting – you can’t get eat one! Each moist bite after another is full of rich, dark chocolate flavors with chocolate pieces inside.

They are the perfect dessert at the end of the day or surprise anytime for your family. They would make an excellent treat to send to school for your gluten-free child for class parties too.

My family flipped over the Udi’s Snicker Doodle Gluten-Free Cookies too! They are full of flavor, topped with yummy cinnamon and sugar.

Even though my family liked everything we tried from Udi’s so far, I wasn’t sure about the Udi’s Ancient Grain Gluten-Free Crisps. I guess it was the name that threw me. However, once we opened the first bag, we were hooked. They are very similar to potato chips in texture and crunch, although a lighter version. The flavors were delicious and varied too. I’ve packed them for my kids for lunch and we’ve had them at home for snacks too.
