If you are a dog owner, chances are good that you feel like they are part of your family, not just a pet. I know that we feel that way about our 13 year old dog, Arnold and even our 11 week old puppy, Roxy. They go with us when we go hiking, they have their own toys and beds, they get gifts at Christmas, and they eat dinner when we eat dinner. Speaking of food for dogs, what you feed your dog shows them how much you love and care for them. For me, finding something that my aging 13 year old dog will eat is all about love as we can’t bare to see lose more weight as his appetite is failing him. Lucky for him (and Roxy), we were introduced to Cesar Meaty Selects.
How to Introduce New Dog Food to Your Dog
Since we are just introducing this new dog food to our dogs, we are starting off slow and gradually increasing the Cesar products into their diets. This is recommended whenever you switch your dog’s food. You should introduce a new dog food gradually.
How to Introduce New Dog Food to Your Dog:
- For the first 2 days, give your dog his regular food at about 75%, then add 25% new food, mixing the two foods together.
- If that goes well, for the next 2 days, mix 50% of your dog’s old food with 50% of the new dog food.
- If all is well, for the next 2 days, mix 25% of your dog’s old food with 75% of the new dog food.
Cesar Meaty Selects
Our dog were happy to be introduced to Cesar Meaty Selects. They come in a hearty 10 oz cans in two dog-lovin’ flavors Porterhouse Steak with Peas & Carrots and Rotisserie Chicken with Bacon & Cheese.

I like that the cans come with a lid so that you can save any remaining dog food in the fridge until the next meal time.

My kids are so eager to help with both of our dogs. My daughter likes to help me all of the time in the kitchen, so naturally, she volunteered to help with the dogs food prep too.

Cesar Meaty Selects are primarily food for small dogs. However, our medium to large 50 lb dog, Arnold loves it and anything that he can eat at this point in his life, he gets. He is enjoying about 1/2 can of the Meaty Selects canned dog food mixed in with his dry dog food. With Cesar Meaty Selects, you can feed it to your dog alone or with dry dog food. Our puppy eats about 1/3 can for breakfast and dinner.

Our puppy likes Cesar foods too. She will be between 30-50 lbs fully grown, so it is good to know that the product she likes as a puppy will still meet her needs as a fully grown, small to medium sized dog. Our dogs love the meaty chucks and flavor of Cesar Meaty Selects.

If you are on the search for the best dog food for your dog, check out the Cesar Meaty Selects. I’m sure your dog will agree that it is bursting with flavor and tender meat chunks!
