Kroger’s Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream Recall

Kroger, an Cincinatti, Ohio based supermarket, is recalling their select containers of Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream.  They were sold in 10 states with Ohio being one of them.  Other states that were affected are Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, portions of eastern Missouri, and northern Kentucky, South Carolina, and eastern Tennessee.   The products were recalled because it may contain peanuts not listed on the label.   If eaten, it could trigger severe allergic reactions in persons sensitive to peanuts.

Grocery stores in Indiana and Illinois  called Jay C, Food 4 Less (Chicago area), Owen’s, Pay Less and Scott’s were also included in this recall.

Check your freezer.  If you have Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream (16-ounce pints) in your freezer with a “sell by” date of June 18, 2012 with  UPC Code: 11110 52909,  please return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.
