Have you seen the prices of juice in the juice aisle lately? It’s ridiculous! My kids love juice but at $3-5 per bottle of juice, it easily adds $20 a week to our grocery bill. I have found that you can save money on juice by buying Old Orchard Juices frozen concentrates instead of bottled.
Old Orchard has recently expanded their offering to include frozen concentrate juices, blends, and teas that can help you watch your budget while still enjoying the all the juice and drinks your family deserves.
Old Orchard Juice Cocktails
Orchard Juices now offers the new Harvest Select frozen juice cocktails in 4 kid-friendly flavors of apple, grape, orange, and cranberry. Each 12 oz concentrate comes with a tiny price tag that is affordable to anyone at just $.99 cents! Each offers 100% daily value of Vitamin C. Although not 100% juice, this new blend of juices is made from real fruit juice and no artificial flavors. At only $.99 cents, it is a very economical option for the family with thirsty kids! Each can reconstitutes to 48 ounces, or six servings making it a great drink option any time of day.

Old Orchard 100% Juice
I watch the labels a lot when it comes to juice. I rarely provide my kids with juice that is less than 100% juice. Although they generally cost a lot more, with Old Orchard 100% Juice, I can provide my family with 100% juice at just $1.49. This is less than 1/2 the price of bottled juice! Plus, Old Orchard now offers 21 varieties of frozen concentrate juices that are 100% juice! This is an amazing deal hiding out in the freezer section at your local grocery store.
I found about 8 out of the 21 varieties at our local Walmart store. My kids love apple juices, I didn’t find apple juice but I found 3 blends that my kids all enjoy: Apple Cherry, Apple Passion Mango, and Apple Kiwi Strawberry.

Our favorite has been Old Orchard Apple Passion Mango. It has a tropical fruit flavor to it that is still tame enough for kids to enjoy. I make 1 or 2 Old Orchard juices fresh at home every day. I like that it provides variety for my family too. I’m a firm believer that by introducing many flavors and types of food/drinks to kids at an early age, kids will not become picky eaters and ultimately eat healthier.

Simply empty the frozen concentrate juice into a pitcher, add 3 cans of water, and stir. If your freezer freezes your juice solid, you can even thaw Old Orchard juice in your microwave. Each 12-ounce can reconstitutes to six 8 ounce servings of 100% juice.

Pomegranate juice is hugely popular right now with all the health benefits. Old Orchard offers several blends. We have tried both Blueberry Pomegranate and Cherry Pomegranate. My husband and I like both, they offer a refreshing drink with delicious flavors. My kids prefer the Blueberry Pomegranate over the Cherry, for whatever reason. I’m just glad they are trying new flavors that are healthy!

The last two blends that we sampled were Cranberry Blend and Pineapple Orange. I really can’t drink Cranberry juice straight, so a blend is just perfect for me. There are many healthy benefits to drinking cranberry juice too, so providing a smoother option is good, especially for kids. My daughter doesn’t really like orange juice at all. The Pineapple Orange blend allows me to sneak orange juice into her diet without her fussing. Both my kids like this blend. I like that it is 100% juice that gives them 120% Vitamin C – especially during the winter cold and flu season.
Old Orchard Sweet Tea
Bottled teas are just as expensive as juice these days. I don’t buy many because of the price. Old Orchard brands has introduced a line of Sweet Teas in frozen concentrate form that are only $1.49 per 12 ounce can. That is only a quarter per glass! There are 2 choices Southern Style (lightly sweetened black tea) and Half & Half (combination of sweet tea and lemonade). I haven’t found either locally but I’ll keep my eye out for them because I like tea and this is more than 1/2 the price what I spend now.

Benefits of Buying Old Orchard Frozen Concentrates
Besides saving money by buying Old Orchard frozen juices and drinks, there are other benefits of buying frozen. For one, you get a fresh “first-made” experience when you prepare the juice with your own water at home, it taste fresher. I like using my own water because it is what my family is use to – plus, I know where it came from! This is a big deal with toddlers who don’t do well with water from other places than home too.
Another benefit of buying frozen juice over bottled is the environmental impact. There is less waste being created with frozen juice containers, plus they can be recycled.
Finally, and important for moms – buying frozen juice containers takes less effort and takes less storage space. You don’t have to lug around 64 ounce bottles of juice and then have to find a place to store them at home. Notice in the header photo at the top of the page that there are 7 containers of juice in my freezer – I can even stack them for less space. Consider how much shelf space 7 bottles of juice would take up in your pantry!
