Susan Sarandon’s Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Pumpkin Bread is great for a side dish, dessert, appetizer, or breakfast. This is a moist, hearty Pumpkin Bread recipe that makes 3 loaves. Wrap up a loaf and surprise your neighbor, friend, or family member! The recipe is easy.


Pumpkin Bread Ingredients:

  • 3 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 heavy cups of pumpkin (prepared or canned pumpkin)
  • Nuts (optional)
  • Raisins (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Make well in center, add oil and eggs.
  4. Add 2/3 cup water or less.
  5. Add 2 heavy cups of pumpkin.
  6. Mix ingredients till smooth.
  7. Add nuts or raisins (optional).
  8. Pour into 3 greased and floured bread pans.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
