My whole family enjoys eating fresh avocados. My husband and I experimented with making fresh guacamole when we were newlyweds and that was all it took to get us hooked! In fact, I never had an avocado growing up but now I’m the biggest avocado lover in our family! I like how versatile and easy they make it to add flavor and nutrition to anything – salads, tacos, soups, veggies, wraps, sandwiches, pizzas – even dessert!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Avocados from Mexico. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
My family’s favorite way to enjoy avocados is with home-made guacamole, my husband makes an amazing, chunky guacamole – it is always gone in no time! The next time he makes it, I’ll share the recipe!

I made a simple pizza crust, split it in half and rolled it thin into 2 long pizza crusts. You can use this easy Home Made Pizza Crust Recipe and place on 2 cookie sheets.
I drizzled a little olive oil on top, layered it with fresh cooked chicken, bacon, avocados, and mozzarella cheese. YUM! I baked on 540 degrees for just 5 minutes! All the time in this recipe is prep work!
After it is cooked, I add special cold sauce I made that consisted of 1 cup sour cream, salt, pepper, and fresh oregano that I processed in my food processor.
I didn’t put a lot on the pizza below so you can actually see the pizza but my husband and I add a lot to our pizza for added fresh flavor. You could use basil or cilantro, we just had a lot of oregano in our garden and used that.
It is simple to make and a very fresh tasting pizza that my whole family enjoys. It is a unique way to enjoy fresh avocados besides in guacamole or a dip that so many of us enjoy.
Another super simple recipe that we enjoy a lot is a Cucumber Avocado Salad. My good friend, AnnLouise threw this together one day at her house and it was so amazing that I make it all the time now. It is super simple, 1 avocado, 1 cucumber, Italian dressing, olive oil, and fresh cracked pepper. It is a really quick and easy side dish to take to a potluck too.
