I am not a vegan, I love gluten heavy foods, and the occasional twinkie makes its way to my stomach. That being said, I also like to expose my family to healthy, home made food as well as try new cuisine. I was a little concerned about receiving and reading The SIMPLY RAW KITCHEN, by Natasha Kyssa, an all-vegan, gluten-free cookbook and lifestyle guide. However, I know many of our blog followers live a gluten-free lifestyle, so I thought I’d give it a chance.
One thing that I do know is that inspiration and creativity comes from listening to others! Natasha’s new book showcases a great number plant-centric recipes that are all gluten free.

SIMPLY RAW KITCHEN
The SIMPLY RAW KITCHEN book is ingredient centric in that a good deal of time is taken to describe the ingredients used throughout the book. Because RAW is front and center, the steps and methods used in preparation center quite often around the blender, the mixing bowl, and the food processor. An oven and stove are almost disregarded in this book. This direction seems refreshing to me, allows for few mistakes and simple preparation, and allows for raw flavors to shine through.
An Example Page from the book
Quiche is one of my family’s favorite meals, this recipe looks delicious. Nothing lacking from being gluten-free at all. I like that this cookbook has comfort food classics that my family already enjoys, but in a healthier composition. I believe in a balanced life, adding raw recipes to our menu is a very good thing, and with the SIMPLYRAW KITCHEN, it can be done in a very tasty way too.
