Fundraisers – you love ’em and hate ’em at the same time. They are essential for our schools, sports, church projects, non-profits, and extra circular programs but are normally items that you will never use. I don’t mind fundraisers when they are for items my family will actually use, like the Schwan’s Cares™ program. This is a fundraiser I can really sink my teeth into because it is food I would already be buying for my family.

Support Local Fundraising Programs
Find a local fundraising program to support while you do your food shopping. I found several fundraising opportunities in Ohio including the following.
Pike Elementary School in Cambridge, Ohio is using Schwan’s Cares to raise money to support their educational programs. I have family that lives in this area. It is nice to know that I can support family and friends that live hours away with a fundraiser without concern for shipping the product I order!
The goal is $2,000 and they have reached $562 already.
The Ohio BlueJackets Girls Hockey team from Dublin, Ohio have a goal of raising $1,000 to help with the expense of ice! It cost $270/hour for ice time making this an expensive sport! The Ohio BlueJackets Girls Hockey team has reached the highest youth level of hockey available – U14 and U16! They just started out with their Schwan’s Care fundraiser and have $74 out of $1,000 raised.
