I like to provide at least one dairy item in my kids’ lunches every day. I’m so tired of the yogurt squeeze tubes that make a mess and as a lunch mom, I see the same scissors cutting tube after tube – even the ones kids were trying to bite off, it’s just gross. That being said, I’ve been looking for other yogurt products that my kids would like to pack for lunches and for snacks to and from sporting events.
I’ve heard good things about Stonyfield from other moms but thought it was primarily a baby product, so I never investigated until now. Stonyfield actually has delicious organic yogurt for the whole family, including the fun new pouches kids love for babies, toddlers, and big kids!
I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Stonyfield. I received coupons to facilitate my shopping trip and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Stonyfield YoBaby, YoToddler, and YoKid Yogurt Pouches Review
We were able to check out the new Stonyfield YoBaby, YoToddler, and YoKid yogurt pouches. You’ll find them in the refrigerated section at your local grocer, they are the first organic yogurt pouch available! Kids love, love, love pouches. It seems like anything in a pouch is tastier and more exciting to them.
My pouch-lovin’ kids were happy to find a new surprise in their lunch boxes this week!
I packed the new YoKids yogurt pouches in flavors. My daughter – who has been picky lately – asked for me to buy more, that is a very good sign. We tried both the Blueberry and the Strawberry flavors – both were delicious and full of flavor. The pouches are the right size for growing boys and girls too – perfect for the nutrition they need during the middle of a school day, Summer picnic, or afternoon snack!
They make great portable snacks too! They are not messy at all like traditional yogurt on the go would be!
YoBaby and YoToddler
We also tried the YoBaby and YoToddler varieties since I was sent coupons. 🙂 Since my kids knew they liked YoKids, they were ok with trying the YoToddler – at home – not in public where other kids could think they were eating baby food. ha! Seriously, it is organic lowfat yogurt either way, except in smaller packaging and age-appropriateness consistency.
The Pear-Spinach-Mango is actually really, really good. Kids would never know there is spinach in it! The one thing that I’ve noticed is that each yogurt I tried is full of delicious flavor. yum! I even tried the YoBaby, babies are sure to flip over the not-too-sweet mango flavor.
So, pouches are a BIG deal with kids of all ages. My kids are in 1st and 3rd grade, as a lunch mom, I see pouches all around both schools, kids just love them. On another note, babies love them too as they can actually feed themselves – depending on the age, of course. I remember when my nephew was just starting to eat baby food. He was given a pouch of some kind and literally fed himself! My sister was so happy because it was cleaner and baby was having fun feeding himself – with her watchful eye, of course. So, pouches seem to be here to stay. Fill them with organic, wholesome yogurt by Stonyfield and everyone is happy!
I like that Stonyfield is made with organic ingredients without all the added artificial flavors and high fructose corn syrup that you can find in other brands too. I try to buy as many organic products as possible for my family. The more I research and learn about food, the more I buy organic! What we feed our families is primarily the responsibility of moms. We hold the keys to providing better, healthier choices for our children. I like that all Stonyfield products are organic – obsessively organic as they would say – Free of toxi pesticides, artifical hormones, antibiotics, and GMOs.
Find Stonyfield at a retailer near you. Local in the Akron, OH area, you can find the Stonyfield products I reviewed at Giant Eagle, Walmart, and BJ’s.
