I couldn’t wait to read the newest book from Chicken Soup for the Soul Thanks Mom. I knew it was going to be a great collection of stories on motherhood and I was right.  I loved it so much that I have already shared mine with my grandma when I visited her last week. When I call her on the phone, she recaps the stories that she has read. Oftentimes, my grandma will go into one of her own stories about being a mom or about how her mom was when she was a child. This book has brought many recollections of my childhood too. As a child, we don’t realize how important moms are in shaping who we are. As grown ups, especially when we become moms, we start to realize just how much of a role model they were (and are) to us and how they have shaped our lives.
