Finding Garden Inspiration with Books by Judy Condon

OHIO, Spring is finally arriving! I don’t know about all of you but I can’t wait to get out and start planting. This is the first house I have owned where I have a lot of space to play/grow in.  Two books by Judy Condon (Through the Garden Gate and Just Country Gardens) have got my gears turning and inspired me to start planning now. With  Judy Condon, a confessed  flower junkie, I think I am starting the right place!

Through the Garden Gate

In “Through the Garden Gate“, Judy shares 26 different gardens with us. These beautiful gardens will make you yearn to dig in the dirt yourself, with the over 600 color photos to inspire you.

Upon opening this book the first thing that caught my eye was in  Judy’s Introduction, she talks about how she has planted “a living scrapbook of family and friends”. She did this by planting flowers that were/are the favorite of loved ones and planting the seeds and plants from friends.

I think that is a beautiful way to start a garden design!  This book really is about  how you present entering your garden.  It also has lots of photos of a large variety of garden ideas, not just flowers but fountains, orbs, and other nick-naks too.

Don't these tall flowers look welcoming! I want a border like this!

Just Country Gardens

“Just Country Gardens” is intended to inspire you. In this book Judy shares over 20 stunning gardens.  Featuring garden from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania,Minnesota and Maryland.

Just Country Gardens

These gardens have beautiful variety.  Nothing is same in any two of these gardens. Each is unique to both the owner and the land itself. With over 500 color photo to motivate you it’s hard not to be drawn to the out of doors.

I really love that with each garden you also get the story of the owners and the property. It very neat to see how the two became a welcoming garden.  It’s this pergola very inviting? The beautiful statues that represent the seasons give an added elegance to this space.Pergola
