Palm Fan Store – Kids Teen Ceiling Fan Review

picture of Palm Fan Store Warbird Tiger Shark Ceiling Fan

I quickly became discouraged when searching for a boys ceiling fan for Elijah’s room. There were no fans in the local stores and limited online. I was thrilled when I found Palm Fan Store. They have a great, fun selection of kids ceiling fans and teen ceiling fans. I am excited to tell you about the Warbird Tiger Shark fan from Palm Fan Store.

Hands On Review of Palm Fan Store Warbird Tiger Shark Ceiling Fan

Although we were shopping for a boys ceiling fan, the Craftmade Warplanes collection would be great not only for a kids bedroom or playroom but also for anyone with an admiration of warplanes. This collection of ceiling fans is a tribute to the original war planes and a symbol of freedom.  The collection includes the Black Sheep, Sopwith Camel, Tiger Shark, and Glamorous Glen.

Eiljah eagerly chose the Tiger Shark for its shark teeth! Besides the obvious coolness factor, it is a great fan. He could not wait to open the box when he found out it was his fan. He was super excited!

The fan is only 17lbs shipped. The instructions are easy to follow, my husband installed the fan effortlessly in just 15 minutes. It is a very quiet, smooth fan. We were lucky enough to have a warm 80 degree day to test the Tiger Shark ceiling fan and found it to be powerful enough to easily cool Elijah’s 15′ x 15′ room. The light is the tip of the airplane’s nose and lights up the bedroom.

Tiger Shark is part of our Home Remodeling Adventure

The Tiger Shark Ceiling Fan was the last big feature for the remodel of Elijah’s bedroom. We will now match the colors of the ceiling fan to paint the walls in his room. Elijah could not be happier with his new ceiling fan, he thinks it is really cool to have an airplane coming down through his ceiling! He can’t wait to show his friends. Here are before pictures of the inadequate ceiling fan in Elijah’s room, that had no light.

Does this look like your ceiling fan?
Upgrade to a Palm Fan Store Ceiling Fan!

Below is a photoshop mock up of what we plan to do with the ceiling of Elijah’s bedroom. We plan to paint the ceiling blue like the sky, then paint the rest of the airplane with wings around the base of the Tiger Shark ceiling fan to really make a impact. See an option for an extra entry below by commenting on whether you like this.

I think that would look awesome if you painted the ceiling. We did that years ago to our enclosed porch…clouds on the ceiling and palm trees painted on the wall…I loved it! Go for it!

  15. Justine says:

I think that it’s AWESOME that you painted the ceiling to look like the sky, especially because of this special fan! Really great for kid’s imaginations 😀 I prefer to paint stuff like this myself, paint can be so boring otherwise!

  16. Justine says:

I checked out PalmFanStore.com and I would choose their 52″ Gulf-Coast Spring Frame black on black 😀

  18. Nicole says:

I really like the idea of painting the ceiling, even though it might be difficult to get the body of the plane right. When I was a kid I always wanted my room to have a blue ceiling with clouds painted on it. It would be such fun for your son to have a room like that. Sort of like something out of Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

  19. Nicole says:

I would love to get the Tiger Shark fan for in my 6 year old’s room. His grandmother just bought him new shark bedding so that would be wonderful. I also really like the Nautical Bermuda V fan and would like to try that one in the nursery for my other son.

  20. Charlene says:

I could use the 56″ 800 Series Riviera Ceiling Fan. I would put it in my living room where we have a high ceiling.

I feel you should do the room as you want to do the room.
My son at the time wanted the solar system and wanted midnight blue for the dark night sky and dark emerald like green for the earth. SO I bought special glow in the dark colors of oil paint and by hand took me 2 weeks painted stars, ships, ufo’s covering the walls and ceiling. I then bought a ceiling fan with primary colors and painted it with clear glow in the dark paint so at night when it is spinning it looks like a ufo. I took glow in the dark stars and stuck them around closet and door frames. I took solar cloth border and put in center of wall and then trimmed with aluminum tape which I stuck glow in the dark stars. I then made curtain and sheers that I sewed glow in the dark sponge stars to.

So you can do whatever you like the imagination is great to make a awesome room.

My daughter had her room done in dolphin that was also a lot of work, she’s now 18 and graduating in June and still loves her dolphin room.

Finally after almost 9 years of owning home and 4 years since the hurricane I’m happy to say my hubby is finally replacing the bad wiring and rotted dry wall in my dining area ceiling. It had some bad spots but due to hurricanes it went from sort of bad to ruined.
I asked if he was replacing the ceiling fan and like a man he asked are you buying? He knows I’m unemployed and have no money.
When we was at lowes I slowly walked fast the ceiling fans dreaming of a new one.
Well god has his ways and lead me to your contest.
There was so many nice ones to choose from at palm fans.
If I was lucky enough to win I would love the 52″ Venetian in the Driftwood pattern, as my kitchen is being done in the country style and my cupboards are a rustic looking birch so the colors would blend in.

I also love the Dual Star II Ceiling Fan

  36. Crystal Collingsworth says:

I would love to have the tiger shark fan for my boys’ room. We are remodeling their room, and doing a world war II theme. I was so excited to see that there is a ceiling fan that would match in their room so perfectly. The old fighter planes are a timeless theme. No matter how old they get, they won’t outgrow it.

  37. Angie H. says:

These fans look like a lot of fun. I love the Bloom fan for my daughter’s room. It would be a toss up though, because any of the tropical fans would look great on our porch (in place of the Snoopy fan left by the previous owners!).

  38. Daniel M says:

tough call, maybe the gulf coast raindance ceiling fan for our back porch (our current one is pretty bad but it’s old)

  39. anthy says:

If I won, this would go to my mother, so it’d really be up to her to pick one out! But I can tell you that she’d replace the fan in the kitchen. And I’m thinking that she might like the Riviera II, in walnut! But I’m not sure. Please ask if I win?

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  42. Fawn Ulam-Hammons says:

I would choose the disco ball ceiling fan to put in our family room. Our family room is always filled with my daughters friends and I think it would be really fun to turn on when they are all down there playing their music and hanging out.

  43. Laura says:

I would buy the 52″ Meridian fan from the Palm Fan Store. Our ceiling fan in our bedroom just broke and we need to replace it. This would be perfect!

  44. Cindy Orley says:

I understand what you mean Carol, luckily my son is 5 so this should be a good theme for many years to come. 🙂 Plus, you can always paint over paint!

  45. Carol G says:

Depending on the age of your son, that sounds like a really cool decorating idea. I mentioned his age because kid’s tastes do change, and if he is near a natural ‘break’ point (ie, teenage years), you may find yourself changing it fairly rapidly!

  46. Alex Herring says:

I think your idea of painting the ceiling is great! I know my brothers would love it if they had this in their room. This is a great giveaway!

  47. carol says:

2.Tell me what you think about us painting the ceiling to look like the sky and painting the airplane body and wings above the Tiger Shark Ceiling Fan.

I think it was a gusty move, I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to do it! Your son will always remember how fun it is.

  48. Sammi says:

I like the contemporary ceiling fans – I’d put one in my kitchen to go with all my shiny appliances

  49. Jeff says:

I’ve read many of these posts, many liking the Bloom ceiling fan. I recently installed that one in my 9 year old daughter’s bedroom and it’s really cool. She loves it and that’s what counts the most.

You guys are great. Thanks for the complements on the ceiling fans on my website http://www.palmfanstore.com. I have tried to put online a more unique selection of ceiling fans from what every other website or store offers but I have many more to add on of these days. You guys are going to motivate me to one day start building more pages to the site and add everything.

Thanks again and good luck to all registering on this website to win a fan or $219 toward a fan.
