3 year old Cuyahoga Falls Boy Needs Your Help, will you be Ryan’s hope?

Updated: 9/5/11 I received an email from Ryan’s Mom with good news!

He has completed chemo and his first set of scan results have come back ALL CLEAR!  We are so very excited as you can imagine!  I wanted to thank you once again for helping us get word out about him, his benefit, and his condition.  I am a true believer in the power of prayer as it has resulted in the healing of my son!

There is a little 3 year old boy that could really use your help. His name is Ryan Encinas, he was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare pediatric lung cancer called Pleuropulmonary Blastoma. There are only about 10 cases diagnosed in the United States each year. When admitted to Akron Children’s Hospital, Ryan had a football-sized tumor in his left chest that had collapsed his left lung and crowded his heart. He has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments that have reduced the size of the tumor and he will be undergoing surgery on Friday, January 14th. The insurance is not covering it, calling it “elective” to remove the cancerous tumor, which is why the family may need guidance from a lung cancer lawyer to help challenge this decision and explore their legal options.

Update on Ryan…
He had surgery this past Friday and is home! They were able to remove the entire tumor which means no radiation. He will still continue chemo throughout the majority of this year.

Hope you can make it to the fundraiser on Saturday and if not, please consider donating through Paypal!

Thank you Cindy for your help in getting the word out!

A little update on Ryan…

His surgery to remove the tumor has been scheduled for Friday. Unfortunately, the insurance company is saying that it’s elective surgery and does not want to cover it. Please keep Ryan and his family in your prayers!
