This is another curious love letter, er, hate letter. Published in a collection of leaflets in 1850, I found this in the Library of Congress’s Memory Project. Supposedly, this ingenious love letter fell from the pocket of an athletic suitor, and the pubisher chose to publish it – kind of like a school child reading note OUT LOUD in class. Or, of course, this was just written for fun!

Makes me wonder if he GOT the girl?
