We love Super Bowl commercials, sometimes more than the game itself! If you are like me, make sure you tune into the big game and watch for Colgate’s new “Save Water” commercial, airing near the 2-minute warning.
During the “Save Water” commercial, Colgate will remind us all that #EveryDropCounts.
We all know that the American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth for two minutes twice a day. If we let the water run, we are wasting 4 gallons every time we brush our teeth, that is 3,000 gallons of water every year, that’s the same as 50,000 glasses of water!
The average American family of four uses 100 gallons of water per day at home for cooking, drinking, bathing, washing and watering. By turning off the water while brushing our teeth, this number can easily be reduced.
Pledge to Save Water
1. Turn off the faucet while brushing their teeth
2. Make a personal pledge online to save water by using #EveryDropCounts to signify four gallons of water being saved
3. Spread the word to family and friends about the importance of water conservation and encourage them to do their part and pledge to save water while brushing their teeth
This commercial is a great reminder that even small acts, like turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth, can make a big difference in the world.
