The Gulf Coast Oil Spill is an overwhelming situation. It doesn’t seem like there is much that we can do to help here in Ohio. Well, there is a way you can help, with your lovely locks of hair and hosiery. Matter of Trust is an organization that is heading up a mission to use hair and hosiery to absorb the oil with what is called a hair boom. Matter of Trust is accepting hair and hosiery donations nationwide. This ecological public charity builds natural oil absorbers made from hair clippings and hosiery called booms. The booms will be placed along the gulf shore lines in an effort to block as much oil from coming ashore as possible. To see a hair boom being created, click here.

The hosiery and hair boom sounds like something from a B horror movie. Still, I think it is a great way for people to join together and take action.
what a wonderful way for everyone to be able to help in this desaster.
This is so cool, I wish I hadn’t chopped my hair a few months ago!!!
