I’m still loving my Architectural Mailbox that I installed earlier this summer—it is my 5 minute curb appeal hack! I’s a quick, easy way to boost curb appeal without any hassle. I also love to decorate it for each season! For fall, I’ve added corn stalks and mums to my garden, giving the front of my house a festive, welcoming touch.
5 Minute Curb Appeal Hack
Installing an Architectural Mailbox is so simple. This was the first time I’ve switched out a mailbox so it was a little intimidating at first but trust me, it was so easy. this 5 minute curb appeal hack is so simple any mom can do it herself—no waiting on help necessary! Here’s how I did it:
Remove the old box. A screwdriver is all you need. If your old screws are rusty, bring out a cordless drill to save a little time.
Check your post. Make sure your post is sturdy, level, and set at the correct height—41–45 inches from the road surface to the bottom of the mailbox, with the post about 6–8 inches back from the curb. (This isn’t just for looks—it’s also the USPS recommendation.)
Set the mailbox. The pre-drilled floorplate of my mailbox lined up perfectly with my existing post, no adjustments needed. If you’re installing on a new post, use the included template to drill holes in the right spot.
Drive four screws. Secure the mailbox to your post. Tighten until snug inside the mailbox and underneath on the outside..

I used a socket wrench to get the screws really secure. Everything lined up snugly, and the box felt sturdy right away.

Test the latch. The door swung open smoothly, clicked shut with no wiggling, and sealed perfectly. It gave me confidence that my mail will be safe and dry in all seasons.
Your Architectural Mailbox will come with an installation guide to help with setup. Make sure your post is compatible and at the proper height (usually 41–45 inches from the curb to the bottom of the mailbox), and follow the included instructions for any optional locks or enhancements.
