How Does SmartCUT Handle Hills and Hauling Stuff?

I have to admit, I’m like a kid on a go-cart when it comes to mowing with my SmartCUT by Weedeater. It doesn’t feel like a chore to mow the lawn anymore, which is great for a hilly, 1 acre lot.

How does SmartCUT handle hills?

At first, I had to get comfortable with going down and up hills on the riding lawn mower since I’ve never used one before.  Of course, I’m still careful, it is still a large machine. However, I have become more relaxed and confident in the mower. It seems like going down a hill would be fast and out of control. With the SmartCUT, it if steady and controlled. I feel completely safe and in control using this mower, even on hills.

Hauling with SmartCUT

We have a building at the end of our property, in the woods that old, falling down and filled with junk from the previous owner. My husband has been bringing up wheelbarrow loads every time he goes back there. Of course, it is also at the bottom of the hill, making it a challenge and not-so-fun hauling all the “finds” up to the top of the hill.

For his birthday, I bought him a cart to attach to the SmartCUT from Home Depot. Yep, I got him a gift so he could work! LOL I know it may not really sound fun but I thought it would help him a lot, so I got it for him. It was pre-assembled so I had to have my wonderful dad take out all the seats in his van to deliver it for me.  Thanks, Dad! My Dad would do anything for his children, he’s just the best!

So, did my husband like it?! YES! I totally surprised him, he had no idea what could be that large in the garage on his birthday! I love surprising my husband, even more when he likes the surprise.

The SmartCUT has a simple trailer hitch already on it. It was easy to slip the bolt from the trailer cart right into it to secure it. For blog purposes and the fun of it, I hauled the cart and my kids down to the building. (I’m not sure if this is approved by SmartCUT in anyway but let me assure you that we were not driving with the kids on our laps and were being very careful with my kids.)

Most of the stuff we found is garbage and will be thrown away. We did find some pretty cool stuff that we will clean up and keep, just for fun. All of metal items, we recycled at a local scrap yard and came back with $62! Not bad! It almost paid for the trailer and there’s plenty more where that came from! It feels good to get that building cleaned out.
