To raise awareness and funds for World Hunger Relief, KFC is asking you to “Pass the Bucket” on the KFC Facebook page. KFC will donate $1 to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) for each fan who will Pass the Bucket (up to 10,000). All you need to do to “Pass the Bucket” is share KFC’s Recipe for Hope image on the KFC Facebook page.
This is a simple way to help. $1 can provide a meal for 4 kids through the WFP global school meals program.
“Since KFC U.S. began its World Hunger Relief effort five years ago, the brand has raised nearly $7 million to help feed the hungry,” said John Cywinski, President of KFC U.S. “This year’s ‘Pass the Bucket’ Facebook campaign makes it easy for our social media followers to help fight hunger simply by clicking ‘Share.’ We think the Colonel would be very proud of our ‘Recipe for Hope.’”
You can also make a monetary donation at your local KFC restaurant now through November 18, 2012. It is amazing how your donations can add up. Some stores have raised $13,000 in a single year to help feed the hungry!
