I wish there was a handbook on parenting. There are so many questions that can’t be answered during the well-visit check up once a year with your child’s pediatrician.
I just found a FREE online community for parents that is geared toward making parenting easier. Kinsights is a place for parents to get and give advice on parenting, they also have a tool to keep all your child’s health records in one place.
This is a sponsored conversation for Kinsights.
Kinsights Online Parenting Community
You can ask parenting question you have on Kinsights. Parents just like you will provide helpful advice. When a member asks a question, Kinsights looks at the question and then finds people in the Kinsights community that would be best able to provide guidance.
Kinsights looks for members who have similar issues and children of that age.
For example:
- Any tips for breaking a 13-month-old baby’s sleep association? Members who have answered previous questions on sleep and have children of similar age provide their perspective.
- Will speaking to your toddler in a second language stunt their development in the primary language? Other parents who have bilingual children or grew up in bilingual households provide their insights. Dr. Carol Wilkinson, the Kinsights Medical Director, chimes in with some background and current research on language development. Community members vote up the answers, lifting the best content to the top of the lists.
Setting up a free profile on Kinsights is easy. From here, you can see the questions you’ve asked, notes you’ve written, groups you belong to, and content that is suited to your interests. I set mine up in just a few minutes. I even wrote my first “note” on style since I love talking about fashion. From here, people can comment on my note. This is different than asking questions in the photo above.
Here is an example of a more established Kinsights Profile.
You can connect with the Kinsights community in a number of ways. Find members based on your location, children’s ages, parenting issues, or join a group. There are plenty of groups to join with like interest like Parents of Twines, Newborns and Babies, It’s Elementary, Grandparents raising Grandchildren, Single Parents, and more. With Kinsights, you belong and so do your questions and concerns. You will be connected with community members going through the same issues.
Online Health File with Kinsights
Even if you have the best memory, there is no way you can keep track of all your child’s health records, past illnesses, treatments, and immunizations all in your head. Sorting through papers and trying to locate past doctor office papers is time consuming and difficult. Kinsights provides a convenient, online health file for all your child’s health records – and it is 100% FREE.
Now, you can have all that important information at your fingertips, all the time. I really like this online health file that Kinsights provides. It is difficult to keep every illness, procedure, medications, and immunization record for each child. I dislike relying on the pediatrician’s office to keep all this important information and not having access to it as well. Just input your child’s information and keep it up-to-date, all online.
