A Couple of weeks ago we asked our readers on Facebook to pipe up and tell us which books they assumed were essential readings for children. We received a lot of input! Below are the suggestions from our readers mixed in with a few of our own choices.

We’ve read every day to our children since they could touch the curling edges of a cardboard book. In our house, it’s NOT installed a love of reading, but it has installed a curiosity of the world, an excellent vocabulary, and the chance to dialog with our kids on the topics they deem most important. Can’t beat that!!
I know its cheezy, but the quickest way to put these in a list was to build them into an Amazon Store- please do sort through all 4 pages of the store!!
