“Mommy, can you read me one more story?” “Mommy, can you bring me a glass of water?” “Mommy, can you tuck me in tighter?” “Mommy, I am just not tired!” Bedtime at our home is quite the production each night. The process of getting three little ones tucked in and finally asleep can be exhausting, so I was excited to welcome two adorable Shnoozles in to our family recently.
Shnoozles Review – Sleep Solution for Kids
Shnoozles are marketed as a natural sleep solution for kids, a product able to send youngsters off to dreamland quickly. I was anxious to put these adorable little critters to the test. When they arrived to our house, my children were excited to get acquainted with their new plush friends. I was excited to see if these cuddly creatures really would help my kids fall asleep faster than normal.
On their first night with us, my daughters each selected a Shnoozle to snuggle with while I read them the book that accompanied the toy. The sweet rhyming story aided the girls in entering sleep mode.
After they said their prayers, my 5-year-old and 3-year-old closed the Shnoozles’ eyelids and, to my amazement, their own eyelids, too. Sure enough, both of my little ladies were asleep in under 10 minutes, a new record![slickr-flickr tag=schnooxlessleep]
My children have had their shnoozles for a week now, and I still find them tightly clinging their sleep pals each evening. Their stuffed buddies still have them falling asleep in a timely fashion, too. Sometimes, the girls even let their 1-year-old brother spend time with a Shnoozle, and he also thoroughly enjoys opening and closing their soft eyelids.
What I love about the Shnoozles is that they are a toy that goes back to the basics. Today, there are many gadgets and gizmos labeled as “sleep solutions for kids,” but many of these do not deliver. Children don’t need items that light up and make noise alongside them in bed. I find some of these toys ultimately distract kids from getting a good night’s rest. I just adore the simplicity of the Shnoozles – no batteries required! Simply close the Shnoozles eyes when it is time to sleep.
Shnoozles were created by a mother seeking an easy and effective way to enthuse children about bedtime. She crafted her sleep solution for kids with eyes that can open during the day and shut at night.
She believed a child would imitate his or her critter and more easily close their eyes, too. I found out first hand her theory works well! It is no wonder that Shnoozles have received such recognition as the Mom’s Choice Award and Creative Magazine’s Creative Toy Preferred Choice Award.
You can adopt your own Shnoozle for $24.99 on the Shnoozle website and on Amazon.com.
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Shnoozles who provided the product for review.
