I love trying new recipes, even messy ones. I don’t like cleaning all the dishes though – who does? I throw as many items as possible in my dishwasher but the skillets, pots, pans, and casserole dishes must be hand washed. Usually I soak everything and try to forget about them, hoping they magically clean themselves. They don’t. I was given the challenge to make a messy meal and then clean up with the new Scotch-Brite Clean Curve Dishwand.

This is a sponsored conversation with Scotch-Brite.
I selected the messiest recipe I could find – Veal Cutlets Supreme. For this recipe, you must fry the veal cutlets in butter, then saute onion and mushrooms in the grease. MESSY! Next, add in heavy cream and broth for a divine sauce. Top with cheese and bake in a casserole dish. It was a huge hit with my family, my kids even had seconds.
I knew it would make a mess in both my skillet and the casserole dish. For good measure, I put the mostly empty casserole dish back in the oven to really bake in the leftover sauces – I wanted to put the ScotchBrite Curve Dishwand to the ultimate test. Honestly, I didn’t think it could work, especially since I left it to set out on the counter overnight. I put off messy dishes as long as possible sometimes. 🙂
I first tackled the messy skillet. Normally, I would have soaked it in hot soapy water but not for this experiment.
Turns out, it wasn’t even necessary as the ScotchBrite Curve Dishwand cleaned it effortlessly in seconds!
I was impressed at how quickly and easily I could clean the skillet with the ScotchBrite Curve Dishwand. I liked that I didn’t have to stop to add dish-washing detergent, it is conveniently located in the wand. I just pressed the trigger to add more. I also like that the top of the dishwand is curved, so it easily cleans all the sides of the skillet.
Now, onto my twice baked on veal sauce casserole. I really baked on the sauce and it hardened overnight. Sponges would simply be destroyed by it, but the ScotchBrite Curve Dishwand tackled it with ease.
I was so, so amazed at how quickly and easily it cleaned this nasty casserole dish!
Hands-down, this is the most effective dishwand I’ve owned to date. It easily cleans pots & pans, non-stick cookware, counters, dishes, glasses, uncoated cookware, and more. The unique curved pad gets into all the corners and crevices that other devices can’t.
