Who is ready for Spring?! We all are and I have already been bit by the Spring Cleaning bug! I started cleaning and decluttering my home, room by room. I was given the opportunity to visit Kohl’s to check out what they have to offer to help with spring cleaning and organizing and received a gift card to facilitate this post.
Spring Cleaning and Organizing with Kohl’s
I had so much fun shopping at Kohl’s for spring cleaning and organizing products. I’m going to share with you my favorites in a couple posts. Today, let’s talk about organizing! Who doesn’t love an organized space? It calms me – although trying to get organized can stress me out. However, shopping at Kohl’s for organizing items is super fun and inspired me.
For many, a cluttered house is because 1 of 2 reasons:
- You keep everything
- You don’t have a place to store items
Kohl’s can’t help you with sorting through your stuff but they can help you store and organize what you have for any room in your house. I really like the Storage Trunks, Ottomans and Poufs from Kohl’s. They have a style for any home decor, plus they are well suited for many rooms.
Any of the above would offer extra storage beautifully for a living room, office, bedroom, dining room, foyer – anywhere. I absolutely love the pouf we put in our foyer last Fall. It adds a seat to sit on for my kids to put on and off their shoes. Plus, I store all of our hats, gloves, scarves, and snow pants in it. It has really cleaned up my closet from items everywhere!
Other rooms that get cluttered easily include the bathroom and home office. There are so many small items to store in these rooms. If you don’t have the proper storage, your home will look cluttered and unorganized. Check out these two pieces that I found that would be lovely additions to a bathroom, office, or bedroom.
Organizing the Kitchen with Kohl’s
The room that I struggle the most with keeping organized is my kitchen. There is no excuse to not be organized in the kitchen. We spend so much time in the kitchen, for my family, it is the hub of the house. Being disorganized causes confusion and wastes time.
Kohl’s has a wonderful assortment of items for organizing the kitchen. I found a few things that I just had to share with you on my shopping trip. I have canisters on my counter but thought OXO Good Grips ones were just perfect. They also have the ones for your pantry, which is a larger project than I am ready for at the moment, although I know it would rock! Food Network even has a collection of items that are collapsible, can you believe it?
I am fortunate to have beautiful kitchen cabinets that we ordered online with deep, roll-out drawers. One drawer is exclusively for storage containers. I have a zillion – many bowls without lids and lids without bowls – how does that happen!? Believe it or not, this is the best my container drawer has looked in a long while – I decluttered it around Thanksgiving time.
I picked up the smaller 20-piece Food Network storage set to replace my hodge podge set of containers. Honestly, even the ones that had both a top and bottom to them were really worn and needed replaced anyway. Look how beautiful this new set looks in my drawer! I can’t believe how neat and tidy it looks now – with matching tops to bottoms too.

Below I have all three Food Network products in my drawer, plus room to spare! Food Network has a selection of collapsible products that collapse to save space while storing and pop open full size when in use. What a genius idea and perfect way to keep your kitchen cabinets tidy and organized. 
The Collapsible Produce Keeper collapses down very flat for storage. When you are ready to use it, you can pop it up two different sizes, depending on the produce you have. It also doubles as a colander! Love this since it means less dishes to clean – and store as well.
The Collapsible Salad Spinner also stores down very flat and opens up to a full size spinner. It actually is two compartments to spin and store your greens.
Another thing that I can never resist at Kohl’s are their season themed kitchen and bath towels. These Spring towels will brighten up any home instantly and have us all thinking about Spring!

I hope I have inspired you to do a little Spring Cleaning and Organizing. I don’t know about you but when I get one thing nice, it inspires me to move onto the next!
