This is just what you want to hear when you have mounds and mounds of Candy in your home now after Halloween. Tens of thousands of kid-sized bags and boxes of popular childhood treats, including lollipops and chocolate-covered raisins are recalled because of possible contamination problems.
Nestle’s 25,000 Nestle Raisinets Fun-Size 10-ounce bags may contain “undeclared peanuts,” which could prove dangerous to people with peanut allergies.
Colombina USA recalled 90,000 bags of Mega Pops brand lollipops because they contain foreign particles of tiny amounts of stainless steel.
Most were shipped only to three retailers, Target, Shop Rite, and Don Quixote and were pulled from the shelves on Oct 28, 2010.
Customers with questions should call 800-478-5670 and 888-317-3686; the company says consumers also may email the firm at nestlecandy@casupport.com.
You are welcome! As soon as I heard about it, I had to spread the word!
