So, you think you are doing everything you can for the environment by recycling and buying recycled items? What about your motor oil? Now, all 26 Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) locations in Akron, Ohio and throughout the country offers a recycled motor oil called NextGen. NextGen motor oil delivers the performance and protection at quality levels that exceed industry standards with 50% recycled oil.

Is Recycled Oil Good for Cars?
Sure, NextGen is good for the environment. Using recycled oil means less new drilling, less crude oil refining, and less fossil fuel use. But is recycled oil good for cars? Yes, and Valvoline guarantees NextGen with their Valvoline Engine Guarantee that can get you up to 300,000 miles of guraanteed engine life. Did you know that used oil has less contaminants and more oil molecules, so recycled oil is better than crude for making new oil? It’s actually better!
Valvoline NextGen Recycled Oil Change Review
Getting the oil change in our cars is not something I enjoy. Usually it means dropping off the car while I try to figure out what to do with my kids for a hour or longer. Honestly, I dread it. When I was offered to review Valvoline Instant Oil Change, my first question when I pulled up was “Where can I take my kids while we wait?”. Nowhere, you stay in your vehicle and it only takes about 10 minutes. Seriously?! VIOC is perfect for moms with kids! Plus, kids get a free sucker. 🙂

They pulled up all the data on our car based on the car’s registration. This ensures that they offer the right oil and other fluids for my particular make and model. They abide by what your car requires and recommends. I like that!

With each oil change, you will receive up to 5 quarts of Valvoline® Oil, a new Valvoline oil filter, and vehicle lubrication of chassis components according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Plus, you get the following preventative maintenance check and fluids topped off.
- Transmission fluid
- Power steering fluid
- Windshield washer fluid
- Antifreeze/coolant
- Tire pressure
- Air Filter
- Serpentine Belt
- Wiper blades
- Vehicle Lights
- Battery test – at participating locations
- Differential fluid – available upon request
- Transfer case fluid – available upon request
Valvoline recommends you change your oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whatever comes first. During that time period, you can go back into any Valvoline Instant Oil Change location to get any of the above checked and topped off. Never again will you have to buy windshield washer fluid or any of the other. Plus, you won’t be guessing with tire pressure, which can be dangerous. I was told that people bring in their car to get a check over before going on trips too, this is all free within the 3 months/3,000 mile time frame.
VIOC is way more than a place to get your oil change, they take care of you and your car! We have been very pleased with the Next Gen product, can’t really tell any difference. I think it is great that Valvoline has put time and money into researching a better product that is good for both cars and the environment. I will give them my continued support.
