Do you love to cook and bake? I love cooking and am expanding my baking skills. Last Thanksgiving I made homemade apple pies and the recipe called for some vinegar. So I grabbed some white vinegar and got baking. My pies turned out fine but I have a way to give them an extra special kick of flavor with Nakano’s Seasoned rice vinegars.

Light and Tangy Mini Baked Apple Pies From Nakano

  1. These delicious pies in a jar are made with Nakano Citrus Seasoned Vinegar. It's a great single serving of pie!
  2. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  3. In saucepot, add butter and brown sugar and heat until it bubbles, 4-5 minutes. Add diced apples, Nakano Citrus Seasoned Rice Vinegar*, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water and add to the apple mixture.
  4. Cook apple mixture until thickened, 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and spoon into jars. Fill jars up to the bottom lip, reserving room for the granola. Add 2-3 tablespoons of granola to the top of the jars.
  5. Place jars on sheet tray and bake for 4-6 minutes, until granola is golden brown. Serve warm or room temperature.
