Cheesy Spinach Rigatoni Bake Recipe
RAGU makes mealtime quick, easy, and delicious for my family. I like to make a variety of Italian dishes, including this Cheesy Spinach Rigatoni Bake Recipe that I’ve made spicy with the new Spicy Italian Style RAGU Pasta Sauce.
This is a quick and easy recipe to prepare any day of the week, you can even prepare ahead of time, freeze it and bake at a later date.
- 1 jar Spicy Italian Style RAGU Pasta Sauce
- 1 oz pkg pasta 16
- lb ½cottage cheese equals 1 cup
- cup ¼sour cream
- 1 egg
- cup ½butter 1 stick
- 1 package frozen spinach cooked and patted dry
- 1/2 c mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Cook pasta until al dente, drain and set aside
- Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, and 1/2 of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses
- Place sliced butter on bottom of 9x13 pan
- Add 1/2 of cooked pasta
- Spread cheese mixture over pasta
- Spread cooked spinach evenly over cheese mixture
- Place the rest of pasta on top
- Pour 1 jar of Spicy Italian Style RAGU Pasta Sauce on top
- Cook for 30 minutes
- Add the rest of the cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes, until cheese melts
As you can see, this is a quick layered pasta dish full of delicious flavors. It is so much easier than preparing this dish as stuffed shells or rotolo. By adding the Spicy Italian Style RAGU Pasta Sauce to this dish, it gave it a completely different taste and experience!
