Lemon Ginger Yogurt Chicken Salad Recipe
My kids love chicken salad but normally it is a boring, ordinary recipe. I switched it up this week with a recipe from local Pomeroy, Ohio Snowville Creamery. Their Lemon-Ginger Yogurt gives chicken salad a fresh, new taste.

- 1/4 c Snowville Creamery Lemon-Ginger Yogurt

As you can see there are a lot of fresh, healthy ingredients in this recipe – no fatty mayonnaise. (See how to replace mayonnaise with yogurt at the end of this article.)
This recipe is full of flavor! Serve it on your favorite bread or as a salad for a nutritious lunch.
The star of this recipe is the Snowville Creamery Lemon Ginger Yogurt. What I love about Snowville Creamery (besides it being local) is that all Snowville products, milk and yogurt products, come exclusively from 100 percent tested A2/A2 grass-grazed cows. What that means for you is a better dairy product that is easier to digest than the A1 milk that is predominate in the U.S. A1 milk contains BCM-7, an exogenous opioid (that doesn’t naturally occur) that interacts with our digestive system, internal organs, and brain-stem. BCM-7 has been linked to Type 1 Diabetes, heart disease, autism, and other non-communicable diseases. It’s a healthier choice.
As prepared, this Lemon Ginger Yogurt Chicken Salad Recipe (without bread) is 139 calories and 3.9 carbs per serving (105 grams). This is a tasty low-carb, gluten-free chicken salad that the whole family can enjoy.
How to Replace Mayonnaise with Snowville Yogurt in Recipes
To make recipes healthier, lower in fat, and tastier, use Snowville Yogurt instead of mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream.
• Plain yogurt can be replaced cup for cup for mayonnaise
• Lemon Ginger Yogurt: Salads and desserts
• Gingamon Yogurt: Used either in sweet or savory recipes
• Coffee Cardamom: Used in dessert recipes
• Vanilla: Use as a substitution when baking
It is easy to replace mayonnaise with Snowville Yogurt in recipes like deviled eggs, salad dressing, chicken salad, pasta salad, potato salad, cakes, breads, and any other recipe calling for mayonnaise. Try it. Your family won’t miss the mayonnaise – or the extra calories and fat!
You can purchase Snowville Creamery products at Whole Foods Markets throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region, Giant Eagles stores throughout Columbus, Heinen’s Grocery Stores in Cleveland, and many other retail locations. Locally, I found the Lemon Ginger Yogurt at Market District and Krieger’s Health Foods Market.
