This Strawberry Mint Lemonade recipe is delicious and refreshing year-round. It is easy to prepare and your family is guaranteed to love it. My 13 year old daughter discovered this recipe a few years ago. We make it every time we have a party or gathering and often just for everyday enjoyment. One reason that we love this Strawberry Mint Lemonade is because it tastes amazing and can be made very LOW carb. My kids are type one diabetic, so finding a refreshing drink that doesn’t have a lot of sugar is so difficult.

As you can see, it’s 50% orange juice and 50% lemonade with a few mint leaves. Simple but truly delicious! We use Crystal Light Natural Lemonade – it’s 0 carbs and 0 sugar but made with natural Stevia, not artificial sweetener. Sure, there are a lot of 0 sugar drinks on the market but most are loaded with artificial sweeteners, something I don’t want my kids having either. We also use Simply Orange Low Sugar which is sweetened with Stevia, cutting the carbs and sugar to about 8 carbs per cup (or 4 for this recipe) instead of 26 carbs per cup!
We love the mint leaves from Farmer Jones Farm at the Chef’s Garden to create this delicious drink. The mint leaves are a very important step in this recipe, so don’t dare skip it! They add a level of freshness that makes this recipe what it is. Plus, it is an easy way to boost the immune system with umpteen antiviral and antiviral and antibacterial antioxidants and a good amount of Vitamin A. With the upcoming flu season and continuous COVID season, it doesn’t hurt to add extra vitamins and antioxidants into our systems.
