There are so many stressful things about having a new baby and one of the biggest is safe sleep. SIDS is a leading cause in infant deaths, but what can we do to prevent it? Back in 1994 the back to sleep campaign was started. It was a step in the right direction for helping to prevent SIDS Deaths. When Kelton was born 8 years ago the hospital had newborn t-shirts that said keep me on my back to sleep. A gentle reminder to new parents. Shortly after I discovered a great swaddle/sleep blanket that made me feel safer, The Halo SleepSack.
I received product to facilitate this post.
The Mission
Bill and Cathy Schmind lost their 1st born to SIDS and from their tragedy Halo SleepSacks were created. As a safer alternative baby bedding that helps us keep our children comfortable, warm and safe from possible dangers. I used SleepSacks with both my boys I knew the risks of having bedding in their cribs and they both loved to be swaddled up. So these were the answer I had always been looking for.
No Blankets Needed
What I really love about the Halo SleepSack is that after I bathed my boys and put them in their pajamas, I could swaddle or zip them into their SleepSacks and know they were warm. I loved knowing there was nothing else with them in their cribs and no dangers, So I was doing everything I could to keep them safe.
The Perfect New Baby Gift
Halo SleepSacks are available in a variety of options, cotton, muslin, micro fleece and more! Not to mention the adorable adorable color/print options. I really love the HALO SleepSack Swaddle and SleepSack wearable blanket 2-piece gift set. It’s a perfect baby shower gift as the swaddle can be used from birth and the SleepSack can be used as baby gets older. I adore the fun flowers and can’t wait to wrap up little Miss Scarlett when she is born. I will sleep better knowing she is safe and sound!
