Summer is around the corner and along with it sports, play dates, day trips and vacations! We are always on the run and having fun! That being said, we are also always filling up at the gas station – not so fun. However, there are ways to save even on fuel for your car like Fuel Points at Kroger. I’d much rather buy fun stuff with the money I save on fuel this Summer, don’t you?

Growing up in Central Ohio, my family always shopped at Kroger and we always stop by for snacks, drinks, and fuel while visiting family there. It really feels like “going home” to me.
There are many Kroger stores throughout Ohio, however the closest ones to Akron, Ohio are in Mansfield, Sandusky, and Port Clinton, Ohio. Chances are good that you will be heading south through Mansfield or up north to the other locations for Cedar Point and island fun.

We load up on food and drinks for our trip once we get close to our destination at Kroger, earning points for our fuel too. Plus, I always buy gift cards at Kroger because they give 2X the fuel points! I pick up restaurant gift cards that I know we will frequent while traveling. I might as well get rewarded for money I’m going to spend at restaurants this Summer, right?!
Everything adds up and when you think outside the box, you can really save money. I like to let the points add up for a month or so and then cash them in all at once. It really shows the savings all at once that way!
Every dollar saved is a dollar that can be spent on something fun this Summer, right? 🙂
