Hello Hartville! Welcome to Ohio’s Shopping & Dining Destination

When was the last time you visited Hartville, Ohio? For me, it’s been many, many years, maybe 20! I came across the Hello Hartville new mobile pass and was intrigued. It is a new pass that you download onto your phone, when you visit 4 of the Hartville check-in areas, you are entered to win an Experience Hartville shopping package and overnight accommodations valued at $500! It sounded fun so we took the afternoon off and headed to Hartville! Hartville is less than 1/2 hour from Akron, but it is a fun destination to take your family, meet up with friends, or even for date night.  I haven’t been there in years so I had no idea how much of a shopping destination Hartville really is! We started at Hartville Marketplace. Wow! That place is enormous! It’s sort of like a mall but it has both boutique shops and an open-air flea market plus an antique store – with a bakery, outside shopping and more. I had no idea that Hartville Marketplace is the largest indoor/outdoor flea market in the United States of America! Did you??We weren’t prepared for all the variety and number of stores and booths at our disposal! We stopped by guest services right away to get the code for our Hello Hartville Pass to earn our entry into the contest. Not only do you get a contest entry but each location offers a special coupon code to use right away too!

We were all thrilled – from myself and teenage daughter to husband and teenage son. We all found favorite new stores and shops! We found really cute clothing boutiques as well as home decor shops to tempt us!
My daughter found some really cute Christian themed clothing at several stores! Love that!
They even have a fun discount store where you’ll find anything and everything at really cheap prices. My husband and son loved browsing this store.

There is even a chocolate factory – and several other food stores and bakeries.

One other other end of the marketplace is a full flea market – every space is filled and people are shopping! This place is thriving! They variety of booths and merchandise is so vast that I can’t imagine anyone not finding something that they love. My son enjoyed the store for veterans. We found quite a few patriot stores, which warms my heart. There are plenty of gift and girly booths too. My daughter found lots of new bath bombs to enjoy! She also found a new purse! We all love Amish built furniture – they have a large area with just that! I’m a big fan of live-edge furniture – they had several!  So gorgeous. The shopping continues upstairs with a large antique store, decor, clothing, and even a game and toy store!

Outside, there is even more to shop!  We found amazing produce! On the weekends, there are even more booths!

After grabbing a bite to eat, we headed to Hartville Hardware. I haven’t been there since I was a teenager. My parents go all the time. I’m not sure why I haven’t ventured to Hartville for all our home remodeling needs. I wish I had known it is America’s largest hardware store – over 305,000 square feet!!! Did you know this?It is 2 levels of absolutely everything you need to take care of your home! Downstairs is filled with great finds for remodeling – like these gorgeous barn door style hanging door systems! Upstairs, you’ll find typical hardware items like faucets and electrical but also furnishings and home decor. It’s so fun to browse all the aisles! I found so many new styles and brands that I’ve never seen before. This place is so huge that they even have model homes showcasing various styles of flooring, hardware, lighting and more for bathrooms, kitchens, pantries, and more.  It is a great place to get design ideas. We just had our floor leveled and are looking for flooring. They have so much to choose from – and a great deal in stock! Before leaving, I stopped by the registers downstairs to get my code for Hello Hartville Pass!

If you are in the mood for a homestyle meal, take a short drive to Hartville Kitchen. I remember going there as a kid and teen and loving it!  It’s a beautiful dining room with an amazing menu. Unfortunately we already ate at the Marketplace, so we will have to drive back to Hartville again soon to enjoy dinner. What a great family-friendly restaurant!  If you want a special cake or dessert, they have that too! The Kitchen uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients that makes everything taste better. They also have a lot of local food products to purchase in their shop! Be sure to get a code for the Hello Hartville Pass at both the Kitchen and The Shops!

The Shops at Hartville Kitchen are connected and easy to browse. Sometimes that Kitchen gets busy, so this is the perfect spot to wait! When we were there, there was no wait but it may get busier on the weekends. You’ll find all kinds of gifts, clothing, and decor for everyone in the family to enjoy.
