Cooking with Bamboo Wooden Spoons…

What do you use to cook with? Metal, plastic, or wooden spoons? I primarily use wood because they don’t scratch the surface of pots and pans and because they work great.  I recently received Imusa  3 Piece Bamboo Cooking Tools Set to review. I really like this set and can’t believe how affordable they are! At only $3.99, you can buy your own set at Target nationwide.

I use wooden spoons for nearly every meal unless I need a spatula to flip something. I’ve found the Imusa set really nice. They are made of bamboo, which is naturally a stay-cool wood, making it perfect for cooking. The set comes with a  cooking spoon, spatula, and scoop, I use them all pretty much in the same fashion for cooking, stir-frying, and stirring anything.

They come with a cord too, making them easy to hang if you have such a spot – which I don’t. Below, they are hanging on my towel bar for the pic. It’s a nice, simple feature that may do someone good in keeping their utensil drawer a little less cluttered.

The bamboo tools are great for stir-fries while using non stick or ceramic skillets. You don’t need to worry at all about scratching the surface.skilletwithspoon

If you haven’t tried using wooden tools, give it a try. And if your old wooden spoons are looking tired, upgrade for just a few dollars at Target the next time you shop.

This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Imusa who provided products for review.
