At our Christmas party, we chose to serve Sweet Potato Pie and Dessert Bars. We’ve always enjoyed pies from Sam’s Club including pumpkin pie, cream pies, and fruit pies. This was the first time trying Sweet Potato Pie and it was a hit. Plus, they are huge at 12″ making it an excellent dessert for large parties.
Another item to always keep on hand for easy entertaining is a Dessert Bar Tray. My son and I arranged them on a platter and everyone thought they were home made. This dessert received the most compliments, needless to say, there were no leftovers!
I get all of my ingredients for savory sides at Sam’s Club too. This year, we spotted Roasted Chestnuts. We’ve never used chestnuts in a recipe before but were excited to add it to our home made stuffing. The roasted chestnuts created a brand new flavor and texture to our stuffing. My husband claims it was the best stuffing we’ve had from this family recipe. I love making recipes my own.

This Christmas party was the easiest one I’ve ever hosted, I almost felt guilty that I wasn’t rushing around preparing food like I have in the past. There was a nice seasonal variety of foods that everyone enjoyed.
Our table looked effortlessly pretty for Christmas too with the poinsettia centerpieces and LED flameless candles I picked up at Sam’s Club. I also saved plenty of time by using premium plastic dinnerware. I never use ordinary plastic plates for parities as special as Christmas parties but these plates looked so real! I must admit that I loved not cleaning dishes for 20 people after the party! Talk about easy entertaining!

This is the adult table, with the picture taken by my son so I was actually in the photo! The kids had their own table but they were done eating before I had a chance to snap a picture! It is always a good sign when all of the kids clear their plates!
