‘Tis the season for many Christmas parties and family gatherings. I love this time of year because we spend more time with friends and family that we love. Along with all of the fun of a holiday party comes plenty of work for shopping, food prep, and decorating. Sam’s Club is my go-to for easy entertaining during this Christmas holiday season.

Sam’s Club makes it easy to entertain this holiday season with delicious food at great prices and beautiful seasonal decorations. You can even shop online and they will load up your cart and have it ready for you when you arrive with Club Pickup services.
My husband and I recently took a trip to Sam’s Club to shop for a family Christmas party that we hosted. What I like about Sam’s Club is that I can easily plan for a large party with their savory sides, restaurant-quality desserts, vast array of cheeses and meats, and fresh produce.
We normally have plenty of appetizers out for our guests. A cheese plate is an excellent party platter, Chef Robert Irvine of Restaurant recommended creating a party platter with an array of different cheeses with varying flavors and textures from Sam’s Club.
Sam’s Club has an amazing assortment of cheeses to choose from, so this makes an easy entertaining staple every time. I always have a variety of cheeses on hand for unexpected guests, it makes an impromptu gathering easy. Check out more Party Planning Tips from Food Network.
You can’t beat the selection or prices of desserts at Sam’s Club. This is an easy (and delicious) way to save time while preparing for holiday parties. With an in-store bakery, you and your family will enjoy fresh baked desserts.
At our Christmas party, we chose to serve Sweet Potato Pie and Dessert Bars. We’ve always enjoyed pies from Sam’s Club including pumpkin pie, cream pies, and fruit pies. This was the first time trying Sweet Potato Pie and it was a hit. Plus, they are huge at 12″ making it an excellent dessert for large parties.
Another item to always keep on hand for easy entertaining is a Dessert Bar Tray. My son and I arranged them on a platter and everyone thought they were home made. This dessert received the most compliments, needless to say, there were no leftovers!
I get all of my ingredients for savory sides at Sam’s Club too. This year, we spotted Roasted Chestnuts. We’ve never used chestnuts in a recipe before but were excited to add it to our home made stuffing. The roasted chestnuts created a brand new flavor and texture to our stuffing. My husband claims it was the best stuffing we’ve had from this family recipe. I love making recipes my own.
To save time while not sacrificing on flavor, Sam’s Club offers a large variety of pre-made savory sides that you and your guests will enjoy like Creamed Spinach, Butternut Squash, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Bean Casserole, Sweet Potato Casserole, Seasoned Vegetable Medley, Broccoli Cheddar Rice, and so many more mouth-watering flavors. Adding a couple of these savory side dishes make dinner parties so much easier.
We also picked up a large bag of rolls for dinner parties. They are so much more affordable when you buy the large bag at Sam’s Club compared to smaller bags at grocery stores. Who doesn’t enjoy fresh out of the oven rolls?
This Christmas party was the easiest one I’ve ever hosted, I almost felt guilty that I wasn’t rushing around preparing food like I have in the past. There was a nice seasonal variety of foods that everyone enjoyed.
Our table looked effortlessly pretty for Christmas too with the poinsettia centerpieces and LED flameless candles I picked up at Sam’s Club. I also saved plenty of time by using premium plastic dinnerware. I never use ordinary plastic plates for parities as special as Christmas parties but these plates looked so real! I must admit that I loved not cleaning dishes for 20 people after the party! Talk about easy entertaining!
Take a look at our feast! We usually switch between turkey and ham for Christmas dinner, this year we had garlic and herb turkey.
This is the adult table, with the picture taken by my son so I was actually in the photo! The kids had their own table but they were done eating before I had a chance to snap a picture! It is always a good sign when all of the kids clear their plates!
Entertaining doesn’t have to be stressful, in fact, it shouldn’t. Enjoy more time with your family and friends this Christmas season and less time shopping, cooking, baking, cleaning, and decorating. Be sure to check out their Club Pickup services, it is like having your own personal shopper, simply order online and pick up your order at your club.
