The ancient art of batik – using wax and dyes to create an image is a popular trend that has made it’s way to clothing! Hitho Batik makes handmade batik designs for men, women, and children. Their new Summer collection includes Western designs by Georgia O’ Keefe offers Western.
The art of batik is applied by outlining a design on a shirt by using hot wax, then they paint the design with dye and finishes it with wax and drying. Once the wax washes out, you get a handmade batik art design on your clothing.

Hiho Batik offers a new collection of handmade batik art that is inspired by Georgia O’ Keefe, a renowned American artist of the 20th-century for trendy art design-batik. You’ll find O’Keefe’s most famous Poppies and Horses’s Skull with White Roses paintings of abstract designs including sunsets, flowers and desert scenery. This is a fun way to add a little Western flare to your wardrobe!
My daughter received the Georgia Wave dress. It can be worn as as dress or a log top with leggings or capris. The handmade batik design is striking and such a fun addition to her wardrobe! The fit is simply adorable and perfect for anywhere the day takes your child from school to the playground to dinner out! I really like the sunset style in this batik art.
She wears a size 8, which I ordered, I didn’t see the note to order 1-2 sizes up, which I recommend. This dress would be too short worn without leggings or capris.

My son received the Sunset Ram shirt. The batik design is handmade. My son loves the ram skull, it totally gives him a Western inspired piece of clothing this Summer.
I recommend ordering a size up for boys shirts too since kids like their clothing to be roomier than fitted. It is a great shirt for boys that will take him wherever his adventurous day takes him from whittling wood to zip lining!
Your child can even create a customized batik shirt with artwork you and your kids design!
Just uplaod their drawing (up to 8.5 x 11 inches). The artwork can be put on tshirts for men, women, and children as well as totes and pillows.
If you live or are visiting Brooklyn, NY, you can make your own unique clothing.
