Don’t show up empty-handed at your Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties this season. Show them how much you appreciate their hospitality and invitation with a hostess gift. A hostess gift needs to be sincere, personal, and thoughtful, it doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive.

Inexpensive Hostess Gift Ideas Everyone Will Appreciate
I recently stopped by our local BJ’s Wholesale Club in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to pick up a few hostess gifts for upcoming Christmas parties and New Year’s Eve/Day gatherings. I found so many choices that I just had to share with you. These hostess gifts are thoughtful without breaking the bank.
As you can see in the short video above, finding the perfect hostess gift doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. Gifts for the home, the table, products to pamper, chocolates, candies, and specialty drinks all make thoughtful, inexpensive hostess gifts that will make any hostess feel appreciate. Let’s face it, hosting a party takes a lot of time, energy, and money, it feels good to be appreciated with more than just a, “Thanks for hosting” comment on the way out the door.
Here are a few of my favorite finds at BJ’s Wholesale Club:
One of my favorite ideas is this Marble and Acacia Wood Cheeseboard for $19.99. I would bring this filled with cheeses and antipasti appetizers to the party and leave the tray for the hostess to enjoy. It’s a two-for-one type of gift because every hostess appreciates a little extra party food too.
This Wellsley Farms Cocoa Gift Set for $9.99 is a great gift to have on hand for upcoming parties, playdates your kids go on over break, and gifts for special people in your life including Sunday School teachers, neighbors, mail carrier, and more. Who can resist rich cocoa like this on a cold Winter day? Available in-club only.
Everyone loves chocolate, especially Godiva! Surprise the hostess with a Godiva Holiday Duo Gift Set for $19.99, (in-club only). It comes in a 2-pack so you can give to the hostess and party planner or save for another party.
This is another favorite hostess gift that I found at BJ’s, the Ghirardelli Cocoa Mug, 4 pk. for just $19.99 (in-club only). Break apart to give to four different hostesses/parties! I also purchased this for my kids’ teachers, school nurse, bus driver, and Sunday School teacher.
Although you don’t have to break the bank to give a nice hostess gift, you should consider what the hostess will be spending on you for the party. If there will be elaborate party food, decorations, and drinks in which the hostess is providing everything, it is nice to be considerate and bring a nicer hostess gift. This Ghirardelli Premium Collection Tower for $19.99 (in-club only) is a nicer hostess gift that will show you appreciate all the work and money they put into providing you with such a nice party experience.
Another favorite Christmas-time treat that I always look forward to is chocolate-covered pretzels. I would be thrilled to receive Wellsley Farms Festive Holiday Chocolate-Covered Pretzels, ($9.99) as a hostess gift. They are so festive! They would also make lovely treats to take to a party to share.
Chocolate pops are fun little hostess gifts that are just right for giving to a mom who is hosting a kid’s party or playdate over Christmas break. They are also just right for kids to give between themselves. BJ’s has an assortment of designs including Emoji for just $7.99 for a 4 pack. They are also cute to attach to a gift!
I hope I’ve given you great ideas on inexpensive hostess gifts that you can give this holiday season. Be sure to check BJ’s Wholesale Club out for their Top 10 Christmas Toys, Christmas decorations, and more.
