Elmo Ready for School is for kids ages 2 and up and is perfect for preschoolers. Your child will learn fine motor skills that will be useful once they hit kindergarten like using zippers, snapping snaps, and using Velcro.
Elmo Ready for School teaches the ABCs with a fun alphabet song and and phrases like “Elmo begins with the letter E” to teach letters and sounds. Your child will also learn about numbers and counting. All of this learning is done through giggles, songs, and play!
Elmo Ready for School Review
I really like about Elmo Ready for School is how Playskool really integrated color recognition, shapes, and fine-motor skills with the activities on Elmo. For instance, when your child pulls the zipper up and down, Elmo states the action they are performing, the color of the zipper and the shape of the zipper tag. This repetitive learning will help this information click for kids.
My daughter Elizabeth is 5 and in kindergarten. She would have loved this toy even last year while in preschool. She helped me check it out for this review. Although she knows her ABC’s and 123’s, she had fun playing with Elmo, singing along to the music, and checking out what all of the features did! To be honest, so did my 7 year old!
The zipper, snaps, and Velcro are big enough for small hands to easily grab and manipulate, so they won’t be frustrated while they learn these getting-ready-for-kindergarten skills. Of course everything is fun with Elmo! This soft toy with a more solid body will be your child’s companion and teacher at the same time.
Elmo Ready for School would make a great gift for toddlers and preschoolers this Christmas, for birthdays, and more. I like that both boys and girls love Elmo, so you can buy this for both.
