When my kids go to grandma’s house, they love playing with the building blocks that daddy played with as a kid. Wouldn’t it be great to have toys that lasted that long now? Toys that spark imagination and creativity without the assistance of batteries? I have nothing against all the amazing toys available, however some toys stand the test of time for a reason. I would like to introduce you to Pure Play Kids. Their mission is to bring your family better, safer, and more creative products for your kids. Turn off the tv, forget the batteries, and forgo the low quality plastic toys.

Blocks and Marbles Video Review
Blocks and Marbles Building Set Review
Like I said, my kids love the blocks at grandma’s house. They are nothing “special”, just planks of wood but to them, they can create amazing castles, towers, houses, restaurants, and more. Pure Play Kids has a great selection of blocks too. Blocks stand the test of time and age, kids can start playing with blocks as a toddler and master them as older kids or adults, yea, we like ’em too! Seriously, I would much rather play with building blocks with my kids any day of the week than with Transformers and Dora!
We had the opportunity to review the Blocks and Marbles Building Set. I just knew it would be a hit, especially with my son who likes to arrange things to make other things happen. As a family, we enjoy building blocks of all sorts.

This is our first set of wood blocks. We were very impressed with the quality of the Pure Play Kids blocks. Sure, they are constructed of safe, durable and non-toxic materials but they are quite remarkably made too. You can tell they are made of high quality wood. I don’t know this for sure but it seems that they are carved every so perfectly to render the marble rolls in the right direction every time. No stuck marbles on long straight wood blocks.
This is a high quality product. You can tell the moment you open the box. It contains 45 blocks, 14 marbles and a storage bag. All the pieces fit in the storage bag for easy storage and travel.
I love watching my kids try to figure out the best combination to assemble towers of blocks. Not only are they making the blocks balance but they are also lining up the drop holes for the marbles and figuring out where the ball wills rolls and lining up more blocks. When kids play together, it is interesting to see them negotiate over the materials. My Elijah is quite the salesman when his sister has a piece he wants, he can really sell another item to her! Of course the blocks also help kids develop good eye hand coordination and small motor skills.

Building the construction is only 1/2 the fun with this building set. It is exciting to see your building blocks in action when you drop the marbles down the pipes! With practice, my kids are getting really creative in lining everything up exactly to get the marbles to roll down, drop, and turn through many variations of blocks stacked. Sure, the blocks and marbles teach a lot while kids are playing but most importantly, the Blocks and Marbles are FUN! I can see this blocks set as a long-lasting toy in our household. My next purchase will be one of their blocks sets to expand this collection.
