Real Bricks Construction Toy for Kids: Teifoc Review

One of my kids’ favorite activity is to build things. We have a number of different kinds of building blocks from LEGO to K’NEX to MEGA Bloks to cardboard “bricks” and now, my kids are building with REAL Bricks with Teifoc® from the makers of Eitech America. Yes, these kid sized toy bricks are actually made the same way as real bricks, fired at high temperatures and everything. Teifoc offers an assortment of Real Brick Construction Sets that allow kids to use real bricks to build structures.

We were able to review the Teifoc® Small Cottage Brick & Mortar Construction Set for kids ages 6 and up. My kids were excited to try to build something with real bricks and not play ones. They see their daddy and papa building things around the house and always want to help. With this Teifoc kit, they can build something on their own (with some help) that is “real”.

This set comes with everything you need to make a cottage with a fence and gate. It includes 80 bricks and slates, Teifoc cement with bowl and masonry trowel, plastic gate, and a board to construct the model on.

Just add water to the motar and that’s basically all you need to do to set up the Teifoc construction set. The green board has 2 designs on it, one on either side to build your structure on. This came in very handy to keep everything lined up. The set comes with visual instructions with photos of multiple sides of each structure. It is easy enough to figure out. My son, who is 6 was not able to do this on his own.

For us, this was a parent and child activity, which was totally fine. Building and construction sets are fun ways to play with your kids. It has always been my favorite activity to do with my kids.

Of course, you can build your own structures with the bricks and mortar, you are only limited by your imagination with Teifoc. As a beginner with the bricks construction set, we choose to start with the cottage suggestion. It turned out pretty nice on our first try!

The mortar is safe and soluble sand and corn-extract. It makes this construction set something that can be used and reused and reused. After you set is dried and on display for a while, you can soak the set in water, the mortar will dissolve. Dry the bricks and start another creation!

We had a fun time building the Teifoc Small Cottage Brick & Mortar Construction Set as a family. We each took turns using the trowel to apply the mortar onto the bricks and stacking them. I’m sure my 6 year old could build fun structures on his own but he needed guidance for the actual kit. Perhaps next year he could follow the directions on his own. As an alternative to plastic or other blocks you have in your home, I’d suggest bringing a Teifoc Construction Kit home for great fun. It would be a fun birthday gift, Christmas gift, or reward for boys and girls ages 6 and up.
