If you are looking for a new toilet for a bathroom in your house AND have “curious” kids, the Champion 4 Toilet by American Standard should be on your shopping list. I already talked about the amazing kid-friendly benefits of the Champion 4 Toilet in an earlier post. The key feature is that it is a high performance toilet that can flush just about anything, including a full bucket of golf balls, see video of this on earlier post too.

Video Review of American Standard Champion 4 Toilet
Apparently kids listen more than you think. I didn’t know that my son knew this toilet could flush golf balls! I’m a little worried that he thought it could flush a bucket of baseballs! I know it can deliver the flush but I just hope my curious kid doesn’t test it out too soon! LOL
Check out American Standard’s Video of the Golf Ball Flush
After having this toilet in our home for a few months now, I’ve also noticed a few things that I really like. Since it is an elongated toilet, I’ve found that it fits my kids better. They don’t have the fear of falling in like a round toilet. I never thought this would be a big deal, but it is.

I also love that I never hear the slamming of the toilet seat in my house anymore because of the slow-close technology of the American Standard toilet seat.
Buy American Standard Champion 4 Elongated Toilet
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to American Standard who supplied the product for review and the ongoing relationship with AkronOhioMoms.com. Check out the great selection of products at www.AmericanStandard-US.com.
Oooh I think my kids would like it better too-the fear of the toilet eating them!! AHHH 🙂
The American Standard slow close lid is a favorite. You should check it and the Champion 4 out before you buy, Alycia.
Interesting, we will be shopping for a toilet in the future and will keep what we learned in mind. The slow close lid is an excellent idea!
Yes, Nicole, that peace of mind is such a relief. It can handle too much toilet paper and more!
You won’t regret it, Karen. Peace of mind and a nice looking toilet – WAY better than powder blue!!! Our master bathroom has powder blue toilet too, yuck – but better than pink! I can’t wait to get to our master bathroom remodel, but that is way down on the list. There are too many other things we need to tackle first. Are you remodeling your whole bathroom?
Nice! We are looking to replace or sell :)) our vintage powder blue toilet. This one looks like a winner. Thanks for the tip.
Amazing that I would not have to worry about plunging the toilet becasue of too much toliet paper again! I never even knew that they made such toliets, very intersting. Thank you for the post!
That’s funny, Sue! At least he is wanting to see what toys float and not what disappears! This toilet would work for *both* though! lol
This is a great toilet, we’re thinking of installing a new one in our upstairs bathroom. I love that this one is virtually child proof as our son sometimes likes to see what “floats”
Love the “slow close” technology.
Love the Golf Balls!
So sorry to hear that Anna. You do get what you pay for. American Standard is known for quality, with reasonable pricing. Quality is #1 when you are deciding on a toilet. You don’t want something that will leak or cause problems and cost you more money down the road.
We replaced our toilets about 5 years ago, with other than American Standard. We are still regretting that move to save a few dollars. American Standard is really awesome. The golf balls demo was interesting.
Yea, it is pretty amazing isn’t it?!
Love the golf ball video!
If you plan to replace your toilets, go with the best known name in the business, American Standard, Clenna! You’ll be glad you did. Plus, they are just so much more water efficient and work better than old toilets. Let me know if you choose the Champion 4 and how you like it. You gotta include the slow-close seat too! I’m going to replace all of my toilets with this!
We plan to replace our toilets soon. I really like this toilet, especially the slow-close technology.
The price is good too.
Thanks for reviewing it.
