My family was invited by Experience Columbus to take in everything Columbus, Ohio has to offer for families, in exchange for a promotional item. For breakfast this morning, we stopped by the Norstar Cafe at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. It is a beautiful restaurant with a modern ambiance that is both gorgeous architecture and comfortable.
Upon entering and waiting in the quick-moving line, we were able to spy on the bakery. The large glass windows makes everything open and on display. We enjoyed watching them prepare hand-made pancakes made with ricotta while we waited.
The kitchen is also open and on display. I love watching professionals at work in a spotless, beautiful kitchen!
We decided to dine outside this morning since it is such a lovely day. Northstar Cafe is located at the entrance of Easton shopping with amble parking, so it is easy to get to whether by car or while shopping. You can see the Hilton Columbus at Easton from Northstar Cafe.
Northstar Cafe is very conscious of everything they prepare and serve their guests from the food to the clothing their employees wear. Sustainability is at the forefront of their business. At Northstar, you will enjoy high quality foods that are delicious because they use locally grown, organic and artisan produced foods. They bring in and prepare everything from scratch daily. It is wholesome goodness you can taste!
I ordered the Mushroom Frittata that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious with Green Field Farm eggs, roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and gruyere.
It was amazing! It was served with delicious rosemary roasted potatoes and a fresh biscuit with Michigan Cherry preserves. It was way too much for me to eat, even while sharing a few bites with my hubby.
My husband ordered the Big Burrito with eggs, black beans, roasted sweet potatoes, sauteed peppers & onions, white cheddar cheese and salsa. It was huge! I tasted a bite (or two) and really enjoyed the flavor combination.
My son liked it too!
Northstar can prepare basically anything in smaller portions for kids, however we decided to just have our kids split a full size entree and it was more than enough! They shared the Cloud Nine Pancakes – the same kind we watched them prepare in the bakery. They were fluffy ricotta pancakes with bananas on top. They were severed with a generous poriton of real maple syrup. My kids have never had ricotta pancakes before and ate them all up!
There are several Northstar Cafe locations in Columbus, Ohio. We visited the one in Easton Shopping Center.
