Starting tomorrow, Friday, December 16th, Castaway Bay in Sandusky, Ohio will be re-opened with a many updates and special holiday activities. With special holiday events from 12/16 through the new year, your family can celebrate the holiday season with special concerts, activities, crafts, and even visits from Santa, Snoopy and the gang.
Castaway Bay has updated their 38,000 square foot indoor waterpark to make it even better for families. The updated look includes new carpeting throughout, free wireless internet throughout, and new equipment and TVs in the fitness center. There is no better time than the holidays to retreat to Castaway Bay.
We went last year and had a great time. It is the perfect size for families to escape to 82 degree temps any time of year. It is even more exciting to celebrate the holidays and your kids’ Christmas break from school at Castaway Bay!
There are special holiday activities starting December 16 through the new year.
- Friday, Dec. 16 through Wednesday, Dec.21, Sandusky-area choirs and bands will perform 1/2 hour concert of holiday favorites at 6 p.m.
- Each night through Christmas Eve there will be a tree-lighting show
- Each night through Dec 20th, there will be a sing-along with Snoopy
- Santa will be at Castaway Bay every day Saturday, Dec. 17 through Friday, Dec. 23.
- Guests can join Snoopy for free hot chocolate in the lobby at 10 p.m. nightly
- On New Year’s Eve, there will be a parade with Snoopy, a Kids’ Dance Party and a New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop
- New Year’s Day, there will be a PEANUTS Dance Party and a PEANUTS Movie and Bedtime Story
Of course, the main action is at Castaway Bay’s Indoor Waterpark! Your family will have a blast on the Rendezvous Run water coaster, in the 100,000-gallon Castaway Bay Wave Pool and the Lookout Lagoon Family Funhouse. Toddler’s Tide Pool is an ideal location to splash and slide for younger kids.
Camp Castaway offers more fun for kids with coloring contests, decorating Christmas stockings, playing games or reading books. You won’t want to miss the huge arcade either!
