If you love the sight and smells of gorgeous floral arrangements, this is the weekend for you to visit Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. My husband and I were able to visit last night for the Inspiration in Bloom display in the Manor House. In many of the rooms, you’ll find beautiful displays of live flower arrangements designed by local garden clubs (including the Hudson Garden Club), and local florists. The displays were stunning and livened up even the Manor House, which is already beautiful. It reminded me of how a fresh bouquet always brightens up any home, I plan to go outside to create my own Spring floral arrangement for my house today. 🙂

Also, new on display at the Manor house this weekend and for the Summer is The Art of Living Beautifully exhibit. Throughout the house, you’ll see Gertrude Seiberling’s taste for the finer things in life from jewelry (with actual receipts) to fashion that dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I was surprised to see that many of the dresses would make marvelous special occasion dresses today! Her style was timeless in many ways. Although the button hook for buttoning all of the hooks & eyes would not have been fun! You can try yourself with their Touch-It station, which are also great for kids.

With a beautiful weekend like this, it is also the perfect time to stroll through Stan Hywet Gardens. Everything is bursting to life with many flowering trees and flowers. There are an amazing 18,000 tulips in bloom throughout the estate! There is no better place to relax and enjoy such a lovely Spring weekend.

The Manor House opens at 11am and the last entry is at 4:30pm. Tickets may be purchased online or upon arrival.
