Unlock the Holidays Black Friday Key Giveaway is the a must this Black Friday! Thankfully it starts at noon, so you don’t have to be out at all hours of the night to participate! Bring the whole family for a day of fun but be sure to arrive at Center Court by noon. The first 1,000 shoppers can register for a key that could be worth a lot! Everyone who gets a key will be able to try to unopen the locks to 3 GIANT prize boxes at the upcoming Inaugural Community Tree Lighting event on December 1st. I don’t know what will be in the GIANT prize boxes but I’m sure it will be really amazing from my experience with Summit Mall. How exciting! Getting a special key on Black Friday reminds me of getting a Golden Ticket. I love anticipation for something amazing, don’t you?
While at Summit Mall on Black Friday, be sure to check out all of their amazing Black Friday specials – all under one roof – out of the cold, wet day we are expected to have! 97.5 WONE radio personality T.K. Summit Mall’s Inaugural Community Tree Lighting
You won’t want to miss the Summit Mall’s Inaugural Community Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 1st!! Festivities begin at 3pm at the mall’s main entrance (West Market Street side near the Food Court). This is a free family fun event! There will be a 40 foot Christmas tree in the roundabout – I can’t wait to see it lit! Plus, there will be carolers, local choirs, and dance companies entertaining everyone. Santa Claus will arrive a fire truck to flip the switch to turn on the Christmas tree – kids of all ages will think this is fantastic!!!!
Plus, there will be plenty of food vendors, games, crafts, an “Elfie Selfie” station to make it a full family fun outing!
Fill Stocking for Children in Need at Summit Mall at Tree Lighting
If you are looking for a fun family activity to show your kids how to give back and help those in need, stop by Summit Mall all season to help fill stockings for children in need. Summit Mall is working with The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve to help kids in the Greater Akron community. They are collecting stocking stuffer items for kids ages 6-18. If you want to help, bring toothbrushes, toothpaste, lip balm, deodorant, art supplies, clothing, and toys with you to the Inaugural Community Tree Lighting. A complete listing of suggested gifts is available in the Mall Management Office. Kids love helping other kids, especially during Christmas. Make it a family even to shop together for these items to help a local family in need.
I love the events and family fun activities that Summit Mall has year-round. They have top-notch retailers that we all love. Be sure to patronage this community mall this Christmas season. We all love shopping at a thriving mall but it doesn’t happen if we all buy our gifts online- just look at the fate of other malls across the country. Summit Mall is doing it right!

So, don’t forget on Black Friday to stop by the registration table at Summit Mall’s Center Court (at the center of the mall by Starbucks and Apple) beginning at 12:00pm to claim your key. Keys will be given out to first 1,000 people, so I suggest arriving well before noon!
