How does Summer sound right about now? 82 degree temps sound wonderful to me as I sit here freezing while wearing a sweatshirt and a hoodie! It is time to plan a trip to Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark Resort in Columbus, Ohio where it is 82 degrees year round! There are many indoor water parks in Ohio, Fort Raids Indoor Waterpark Resort is the Largest Indoor Waterpark in Central Ohio!
We experienced Fort Rapids for the first time last year. Read our review here. We had a fantastic time splashing around in the 60, 000 sq ft waterpark. I always get the question of “is Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark good for young kids?” YES! My kids were 4 & 6 years old and didn’t want to leave! We spent most of our time at the Rascal Round Up, Kiddie Korral, Lazy River Cowboy Creek, and activity pool. There is just sooo much to do with a huge play tower, tube slides, race slides, tipping bucket, activity pool and more. The 82 degree temps were just what we needed in the middle of Ohio’s cold winter!
[slickr-flickr tag=ftrapidskidsstuff]Once we took a break from the waterpark, we headed to the arcade, cold river mining, and participated in the free activities like the bouncy house & Microsoft Kinect games. And don’t forget the restaurants! Our favorite was the Sidewinder Cafe inside Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark with their outstanding buffet.
There is plenty for older kids and families to do at Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark too! This year, my kids are ages 5 & 7, so I can’t wait to see what new things they will try. Last year, they were a reluctant around the 1,000 gallon tipping bucket and didn’t go near all of the large slides like the Ambush Alley, Raging Bull, Black Out Pass, and Shoot Out Racer. I think that at least my 7 year old is tall enough this year. I’m sure they will be practicing their swimming and underwater skills even more this year in the activity pool too. The 18 and older hot tub will still have to wait. 🙂
