With the warmer months coming, some of us will be turning to iced coffee instead of hot. Dunkin’ Donuts has some delicious new flavors for a limited time that is just perfect for iced coffee and Spring: Coconut, Triple Berry, and Strawberry Shortcake.
You may have noticed that we have 3 new writers on AkronOhioMoms.com, Emily, Kim, and Toni. Last week, I invited all of our writers over to meet one another over some delicious iced coffee and appetizers. I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dunkin’ Donuts. I received a Dunkin’ Donuts Party Kit to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Our party was twofold – as moms we always multi-task, right?! Our Dunkin’ Donuts party was full of delicious iced coffee as well as WordPress training! Everyone couldn’t make it to the party but it was fun to hang out, even if we were doing a little work. This was the first time some of us met Kim and Emily. They are super sweet, we are so lucky to have them join our blogging team!
My wonderful husband, Matt also joined the party. He designs websites for a living and helps with keeping AkronOhioMoms.com up-to-date technologically. He trains people all the time on WordPress, so he offered to help teach our newbies. Plus, he didn’t mind the fresh batch of iced coffee either! The Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee Recipe was so easy to make. The new Dunkin’ Donuts flavors are Triple Berry, Coconut, and Strawberry Shortcake. I have to admit that when I told everyone that I was starting off with the Triple Berry flavor, a couple said, “We’ll see…” They didn’t think it sounded like a good flavor – someone said they thought it would taste like medicine. Boy were we all surprised! It was delicious!!!
Beth experimented with this recipe when she got home with the new Coconut Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. She used less sugar and split the half-and-half with milk for a lower calorie recipe and it taste great! I can vouch for the Coconut flavor coffee as well. Personally, I like iced coffee 100X more than hot coffee. The Dunkin’ Donuts Coconut coffee is so smooth and flavorful. Plus, it smells amazing! My husband likes this flavor a lot too – both hot and cold. Neither one of us thought is really sounded like it would be a good flavor until we tried it!
The new Strawberry Shortcake is excellent hot or cold as well. My husband and I have just made it “iced” by putting it in the fridge after we brew it too. All the flavors taste great this way. I do, however prefer the more fun and exciting Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee recipe above when I have more time or guests to enjoy it!
My parents were kind enough to come over during the party to watch our kids. It just make it easier for all of us to focus on the training. I don’t know what I’d do without them – they are always willing to help out. 🙂 Taking home Dunkin’ Donuts coffee afterwards was welcomed too.
Everyone was so excited to take home a re-useable Dunkin’ Donuts grocery bag with one of the new Dunkin’ Donuts seasonal coffee flavors in it, a Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee recipe card, and coupon for their next purchase. It was so fun to send everyone home with a parting gift!
I didn’t use to drink any coffee – flavored or not – however, I have found that I like iced coffee with plenty of cream and sugar. 🙂 I like these new Dunkin’ Donuts flavors and so did everyone at the party although I think we had too much caffeine too late in the evening! My husband particularly likes Dunkin’ Donuts dark and turbo coffees on a daily basis, however he enjoys flavored coffee about 1/2 the time, including Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Cinnamon Spice.
Be sure to pick up a couple of the new Dunkin’ Donuts seasonal flavors before they are gone: Coconut, Triple Berry, and Strawberry Shortcake. Buy a couple because you’ll probably be just as addicted to it as us AOM writers! 🙂 By the way, Dunkin’ Donuts is owned by Smuckers in Orville, Ohio! Just another good reason to buy Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to keep some of your coffee dollars in Ohio.
