What I enjoy most about the warmer weather is inviting friends and family to hang out in our back yard. By far, our back yard is the #1 best feature of our home. It is a fun and relaxing place that is best when filled with friends and family.
Backyard Discovery sponsored a picnic for us this Spring to highlight two items that really make our backyard amazing. Our Backyard Discovery Patriot Playset and Backyard Botanical Oasis Garden. I enjoy telling people about Backyard Discovery brand even more this year as I’ve been able to see the quality of their playsets as this is our second year with the Patriot Playset. It has stood up exceptionally to countless hours of playtime and standing strong.
Even though rain threatened the picnic, the kids had a great time exploring the playground and playing with each other. Backyard Discovery has many playset options to fit any price, any size yard, and any family size. Our kids have more than enjoyed the Backyard Discovery Patriot Wood Playset since last year, it is the #1 destination year round for my kids and their friends.
The Patriot has swings to accommodate 4 kids at one time, 2 tier raised clubhouse, lower playdeck with picnic table, spiral slide, rock climbing wall, and generous sized sand box.
I think swinging is one of those activities that you never outgrow. I can be caught in the back yard swinging with my kiddos quite often too. Although intended for kids ages 3-12, active parents can climb up into the clubhouse with no problems. During our picnic, the kids took turns on the swings. Even though both boys and girls were swinging, girls tend to enjoy it much longer than boys.
There’s my son, barefoot and leading the way to climbing the parameter of the playground. Last year, my kids were exploring and getting to know the playset in the proper way. This year, they’ve become adventurous and discovering new ways to play on the playground. Elijah likes to live a little dangerously, but no worries, they are just a couple feet off the ground. The kid-friendly mulch softens the fall anyway.
Having a party with a playground is a cinch. The kids are happy playing forever no matter the age differences. We did stop to enjoy yummy picnic foods. Simple is key when dealing with hungry kids. Subway always hits the spot.
