My Daughter is Loving Her New Alphabet Book: Owls Are Good At Keeping Secrets!

My daughter is a big fan of books. Which is great! But it means that we are kind-of always on the hunt for a new book so that we aren’t reading the same ones over and over and over again!

Raise your hand if you have more children’s books memorized than you ever thought you would! I know I do! For that reason, I think I enjoy it when my daughter gets a new book just as much as she does! ha!

If that’s you too, Owls Are Good At Keeping Secrets; An Unusual Alphabet book would be a great gift for your kiddos this year! It is sure to be a different kind of book than what you probably already have on your shelves!

What Makes Owls Are Good At Keeping Secrets an Unusual Alphabet Book?

Alphabet books are always a good book to read because it helps kids to learn and remember the alphabet, helps teach kids to identify letters, and also helps with the foundation of spelling.

Most alphabet books are set up to read “A is for Alligator”… “B is for Bear”… and so on. What makes Owls Are Good At Keeping Secrets so unusual and so much fun is that it tells a little story about each animal. So, instead of saying “A is for Alligator” it tells us that “Alligators think you’d like them if you got to know them.”

The book continues on through the alphabet, sharing something fun about each animal.

Owls Are Good At Keeping Secrets Has Beautiful Pictures

The alphabet is on the inside cover in the beginning and end of this book. Which is really nice because before you start the book or after you finish, you can go through the whole alphabet with your child.

I was able to snap this picture as my daughter was “teaching” her bear the alphabet! So sweet!

The pictures throughout the book are very beautiful. They match the little story that goes with each letter and makes the book even more fun!

It is fun to read a book with my daughter and have her laugh at the pictures because they are silly or you can tell the picture helped her understand the words I just read. This book does that well.

I am so glad my daughter has Owls Are Good at Keeping Secrets; An Unusual Alphabet book as her newest book of interest! I think it would make a great gift for any toddler on your list this year!
