What is Reverse Osmosis?

If you are like me, you’ve heard of Reverse Osmosis but don’t exactly know what it is. I have heard that it is the best way to purify your water. Here is why. Reverse Osmosis is a filtration method that removes large molecules and ions from your water by applying pressure.  The water separates leaving you with the pure water to pass through to your drinking supply. Yippee!  I can’t wait until the Reverse Osmosis system from Everpure separates the iron, TDS, alkalinity, and turbidity (dirt) from OUR drinking water!

Everpure Reverse Osmosis System

In a previous post, I tested our well water with the Everpure Water Analysis Kit to see what was causing the nasty odor and taste of our well water. This kit takes the guess work out of the safety of your water and tells you what systems will solve your water problems. Our report showed that we have elevated levels of iron, TDS, alkalinity, and turbidity (dirt).

Post updated 2-18-19 At time of posting in 2010, the ROS III was recommended.  Pentair Everpure continues to offers restaurant quality filtration solutions for your home for clean, clear water your family can trust. Their Drinking Water Systems take up less space than previous versions and do not require an additional faucet. Check out all Everpure Reverse Osmosis Systems and more here.

Original Review to follow:

The recommendation was for an  Everpure Reverse Osmosis System III.

We received our system well before we were ready to install it. We are in the midst of moving our kitchen from the front of the house to the back. I decided to save one extra job from my husband of installing and then re-installing this product, although technically it can be done with  no harmful affects to the product. I cannot wait to start using this system.

Water has been a sore issue in our house since we moved. We began buying bottled water. Not only is it not the best to buy tons of small bottles of water on the environment but to get the daily recommended amount of water per day per person, we would go through 5+ cases a week! That is a LOT of hauling water!

Reverse Osmosis System Features

Not hauling water for moms is a big deal but not the best part of the Everpure Reverse Osmosis System III. There are many features listed below about how this system will transform your drinking water.   I love that this system filter enough water for the average family for 1 year without filter changes and is cheaper than bottled water!! How I would love not to worry about my water for a year!

Aside from that convenience features, the Reverse Osmosis System III has other amazing benefits that should be considered when finding the best water solution for your home.

I heard a long time ago that when you buy bottled water to make sure it says it was purified by filtration & reverse osmosis so I know its important. This would be a great alternative to the bad for the environment & expensive bottled water.

This would be great for us! We don’t have well water, but I swear it has a funny taste!!! We tried the purifiers that just attach to the faucet but it was such a pain.

We are considering buying this system for our house, and I expect great results! We changed all the old piping in our house, but I’m not sure about the city system – you never know through what kijnd of rusty pipes your wtare comes to you..

We also have well water that tastes great, but I wonder if it’s completely safe. I’ll be checking into a reverse osmosis system next year and appreciate the information!
